I'm not 100% sure about this, but go take lead from the mushroom so long that the wizard refuses to give you more gold.

Yeah... the pillbug larva is attracted to gold... so you have to have like 200 gold for it to show up, maybe 250.
I think it is scared off when you have over 450 gold though.
