Remapping keybinds?
I'm routing a speedrun of the game and I'm curious as to whether or not you can remap keybinds outside of using a controller, because using a controller is janky as all hell and the default keyboard binds are not good.
Not easily. Everything except the arrow keys can be re binded using scripting. Only thing is bows won't work unless you also re-script the bow power system to mimick it using the new custom re scripted attack key as well.
Not worth the effort really.
The reason the arrow keys can't be re-mapped to a new key with scripting is because a key script is only called every 99 milliseconds, so you can't get instant response, there would be a lag on controls. Interestingly, this also means the arrows keys are the only keys you can detect press and release on separately down to the millisecond, by checking Dinks pseq. But I'm getting off topic.
Fin.
