I have been playing this for two days. The first time I started world 2, I was in some weird place where there were multiples of the same screens, and the screens weren't adjacent to the others. I thought maybe it was some kind of a puzzle, but when I kept getting stuck or frozen, I started again. This time, the screens looked ok, but after I talked to Janai, could not find any cabin. In that trial, all my stats etc., from world 1 were retained. Finally I started again. This time, I am on Hope Island, find Janai, eat, do the raft thing, etc. However, I have no life in my meter. When I fight the pillbugs I can kill them but no damage is done to me. When I find a gold heart, it lets me get it but it does nothing to my life meter. When I find red hearts, same thing. Also, my experience points and stuff don't increment when I fight, but do at some point later. OK. So I finally went to bed, saving the game. This morning I tried to load my saved game... as soon as the game comes up, I die next to the save thing. HELP!! (pretty please)

This is so confusing. I started again, and it seemed to be working...until I tried to fight. The minute I got close to a pillbug, it killed me. My granddaughter and I are enjoying this game, but are really getting frustrated. We want to see what happens in world 2

Are you sure you replaced the map files as it was written in the file?

Yes. At least, I have a new map. I followed the directions step by step.

The glitch you say about happens if map.dat and dink.dat are from different maps. You must copy both of them.

I did. Everytime I start there is a different problem... either I can't be killed but if I save the game and come back I die instantly, or I can't kill anything else... the second they get close to me I die.

Maybe I wasn't meant to play this game. I was sure enjoying it though.
