I know you were asking Godley, but I wanted to throw in my two cents and say that PAKOON 2 is the best racing game ever! (As in, the only racing game I've seen that looks fun to me.) And it's free.

Ridge Racer 2 and Crash Team Racing were the only racing games I liked
