The Dink Network

Storyline: You play Saben, and you have to help Merlyn get some dragon blood. After you have done that however, there are some more things to take care off.

Map and graphics: The map is not that big, but it is very nicely decorated and has lots of details. There are several new graphics, but most, if not all, are from LOT. Saben looks like Dink, but then in a different colour.

Music: The music suits the situation.

Good: The portal is done nicely. The story develops good, but since this is a demo, it also stops halfway. If you look at the map using the editor, you see a part that you can not go to: some blue rocks next to tiles, which look rather good.

Not so good: You can not pick up the blue potion. The statusbar screen looks al right, but it distracts your attention from the game. If Saben pushes something, the original graphics of Dink pushing something are shown. Some trees are not stamped correctly.

Overall: A nice demo. A shame this it is only a demo.

Fit for: If you want to have a small adventure.

This is a somewhat good dmod, though small. It's fun and Sabre makes good use of graphics taken from other dmods in it. The music is also good. There are no huge downsides in "Plane Walker", but it's really small (Actually that is a huge downside) and the ending is poor.

I stand by the idea of this d-mod, and the demo never shows it's full potential. But it's just SO sloppy, and the scripting is awful.
The plot may feel quite good, but it was never too well thought out, and wasn't going anywhere fast. The new graphics were taken from LOT (apart from the Red Abishai) and while they are nice, this d-mod doesn't use them to any great effect.
By all means, download this; But only if you have played all the better d-mods out there, and are looking for something to do on a cold, lonely morning.

well i'd make this longer but I have 30 second to write it here goes: very good except WAAAAY to short, even for a demo, but it was very good I didn't find many bugs at all except for a couple like a too hard pill bug like someone else said, but hey-one less enemy to fight, right? it was a little on the easy side and like shampoo before me said, I didn't know it ended until I figured out I covered everything (after wandering for 10 minutes I figured out it was over) well music was one of the best but im VERY critical on length of games and so -2.1 for shortness, oh by the way very good download overall, and good job on dink's new outfit, he looks sharp. B+ all and all, very good game good layout and music was very good, if ur looking for 20 minutes to kill this is the game for you.

This is my first review so don't shoot me if I did it wrong (I read the guidelines).

This is one of the better Demo's i've played. It doesn't remind me of a similar demo.

Strengths:
* Dink has a new outfit and I think it look's better then the original one.
* The storyline is very good and your desire to get the bad guy (in this case woman) is quite big. Revenge is the main reason here.
* It has good music. Some of them quite popular. In this demo I heard over 6 different songs (and mark that it's a short demo).
* actually one of the first demo's that didn't lockup in parts of the game.

Weakness:
* Still a few little bugs :like a defence potion you can't pickup NW of Merlyn
* It's a short demo : playing time = +/- 15 minutes and if you cheat it's 7.5 minutes
* Doesn't warn if the demo ends, you just have to find out that your trapped in a place.

Overall :
Good gameplay, good layout , good music , very little bugs ,... definately worth downloading.
