The Dink Network

It is to our great regret to inform you that The Dink Network will shut down this week. Check out the comments for more information.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has noticed terrorist activities on this site. I shouldn't mention names, but it's mostly Tal who has -in the FBI's opinion- crossed the line. We, the staff of the Dink Network have tried convincing the FBI that they shouldn't take this site too seriously, and that all Dinkers are innocent.

Regardless, the FBI is shutting down the site for good, and the suspects will probably hear from the FBI later today.

This site was fun for as long as it lasted: a good 10 years or so.

Funny but too obvious...

Christiaan was just trying to soften the blow. We knew we had to tell people eventually, but didn't know how. So he chose today, for you know why.

But, truth is, since Tal took over the Dink Network he has been infecting DMODs with trojans. The trojans then spread to other computers, producing a large number of "zombie" computers under Tal's command. The network is refers to as "Talnet" and according to some counts commands over 10,000 PCs.

Tal's veiled confession and apology in his 'life' thread expresses his self-reflection on his upcoming sentence.

If we cleaned all the DMODs, we wouldn't have to shut the site down. But we think it is for the best to shut it down anyway.

Some of you *may* remember me but I log onto the site for the first time in months and first thing I see is the site being taken down???

*starts hacking FBI to bring them under Almighty Tal's command*

Cant we open a new one? The 'dink network 2' or just 'the network' under someone else's command?? This site was the key to my future in the gaming industry.. you have to realise how important this site is to me and all of us. we can always create a new ones for new dmods can't we?? cant we??

if you read my topic 'you dropped your pocket!' (which was about what other webites did for april fools) you would know that Newgrounds.com did a stupid joke that pretty much blocked every single Flash movie and game except something with china in it. but this topic is worse than that, (even my likes-dumb-jokes little brother agrees.)

I miss the old 'fools prank of TDN. I was kinda disappointed when noticed it wasn't in effect this year.

I think, if TDN is really shutting down, someone should make a "Files of TDN" PC-Dvd so we can play all those mods an reminisce the good ol' days... I'd buy one!

I didn't realize the April the 1st.. but dude seriously.. don't joke about that XD. Cause I just downloaded a couple of dmods(more like 20) like 2 days ago. Anyways.. good joke. . But if this really is going to happen. Tell me first. I'd die if dink died.

Rofl, I read this the first time and realized the date immediately, then another post comes in a little later and I see it again, this time not noticing the date, so I got scared.

Well.. you see, I haven't tried those games, though I heard Ragnarok was really good.. but Dink Smallwood has so many GOOD things about it like the "free" stuff and a GREAT community that I'd rather stay than change..

Surely when the FBI investigates a site, it gets taken down immediately and a placeholder image of the FBI crest gets put up in it's place, stating that the site is currently under investigation... Just a minor detail in your joke (that obviously fooled a lot of people)
