I found no link for the rules page, had to search
I wanted to learn how to adjust the text in my posts using italics, so I searched on that. The thread I landed in mentioned checking the 'rules' page without giving a link. So I went looking for the page. I could not find a link from the home page, or from any of the pages that link from there. I actually had to do a search on 'rules' to get a link to it. Should a link be added to the home page or maybe a sticky on the forum index so new people can read it before posting on the forums? Just an idea.
Also, is there a list of smilies (emoticons) somewhere? I see some that I would like to use, but don't know how to reproduce.

Wow, this triggered more response than I expected! Thanks for all the links, I'll check them out. I like browsing through history, even if I wasn't around then.
Yes, but there are no links to them on any of the new pages.
Bravo Tal. Back to the subject at hand. The &UN{written} rules page... should it be linked somewhere more accessible? Perhaps?
DinkDude: I agree heartily. As one who has only recently begun interacting with the community here, I feel that in order to promote a forum wherein the participants abide by the (unwritten) rules, it seems logical to place the (unwritten) rules within easy reach of any newcomers to the site. I had assumed that the king would address this issue, yet it appears he has only time for fleeting applause and a flap of his wings before seeking more banana(esque) pond surfaces.
