Probably not that big of a deal to you non-americanischers, but it did go down. My 'perfect' Patriots were finally handed their first and only defeat this season. But hey, way to go Giants. Anyone else watch the game/have any commentary on it?

Haha, that would be the World Series. Ya this is exactly why I made that "Americanisher" qualification, People out of USA area usually don't know much about it. The Super Bowl if probably the equivalent of the World Cup for soccer; The championship of sorts. This year it featured the New England Patriots vs. New York Giants. The Patriots went into the super bowl undefeated, something that has only been done before in the history of football once. Also, here is the US there has always been a big rivalry between the two cities Boston and New York. Well the Pats hail from Boston and the Giants (obviously) hail from New York, so the game had other implications as well...

Err, Hello! I know what the Super Bowl is! It's football. Grid Iron, or something, if I remember correctly. Apart from that, I don't know a dang thing about it.

I actually saw the last 10 minutes which is surprising for me because I live in Australia and I was flicking through channels when I saw it. Personally I much prefer AFL but Grid Iron isn't as bad as I thought, not as rough, just hard contact unlike rugby which is more like wrestling and running with a ball thrown in.

Thing is, basketball is the most popular sport in the US, if I remember correctly.

But all pale in comparison to Calvinball.

Basketball? The most popular in the US? Hmm...I think not. The list goes probably like this: Football, Baseball, then basketball, and probably hockey. Trust me, between Pro Football and College football, they pretty much own the ratings.
