I have a problem...so when Dink enters in the next screen there happens and animation but whn he re-enters the screen than its allfrom the beginning.

(i have tested sp_active(&current_sprite, 0); and kill_this_task(); and it doesnt work)

I don't think it is you I think it is something with your computer. I also really don't know about that much I only had a comp for 2 years and became a Dinker about 4 months ago

thats because the sprite is loaded again, to stop the animation use a var checker, like

&story, if &story is currently 2

then use the following script lines in the animations script.

void main(void)

{

if (&story < 3);

{

&story = 3;

goto skip;

}

if (&story == 3);

{

sp_nodraw(&current_sprite, 1);

sp_kill(&current_sprite, 0);

}

skip:

put all enemy data here

}

KORY, just go download bin's tut, its called the rudiments of scripting, thats what got me into dinkc

I have it and i played it today and i have copyed the sp_active(&current_sprite, 0);

and it doesnt work!

But its a cool tutorial D-mod

Why do people STILL sign their name after their posts? WC has always done it, so thats fine, but now others are starting and it is REALLY not needed, as your name comes up on the side!

It's not a case of me purposefully making a mental note of this, it's just having a memory. And at no point do I say it's big, bad or horrible. You are simply putting words in my mouth, so to speak. How does this p**s you off I wonder, maybe you get p**sed easily.

You have to really take in account both sides, but really, they are both kinda over reacting. Sabre is making a big crying session over people signing their posts, and tal is getting p**sed about it. How about I shut up now and everyone follow along?

That is the post SabreTrout made. I do not personally think that constitutes as a "big crying session". He is merely saying it is not needed, which it is not.

You are very rude WC. Be civil and others will do the same to you. Just be a bit more tolerant, you are not God, and what you say is not written in stone.

I apologize for that...I do think I overreacted slightly.

But please. Don't point fingers at me when the argument has little to do with me. If you're gonna rant about Ask Tal, however, then feel free to wear my name out.

Hmm... I don't know in what context you used that line, but all the scripts in the tutorial work. But using just that line is not enough, you need something more: moving the sprite of the screen and then using that line, is how it works - and before that creating a sprite of course.

I accept the points you make. I just think you could be a little less aggressive in the tone of your posts, and that would be beneficial to all.
