DOWN WITH MICROSOFT
DOWN WITH MICROSOFT?
P.S. Someone PM me if I'm insane.

Why? They made a working, solid operating system. Sure, they got annoying because they want to make more and more money, but what they started was very good indeed.
"VISTA IS MORE BUGGY THAN A BEEHIVE"
I lol'd.

Well, DOS was alright and not originally something that was originally created by Microsoft... but when your OS is a single task, command line based system, bugs *should* be quite rare.
Though MS did steal a bunch of stuff and ideas from other OSes, OSes like Windows 3.1 and 95 brought some new, now common things in most of today's OSes.
Besides that, Windows has always worked, usually with most hardware. Except Vista, of course, because they ducked up there.

Well, I think Microsoft are okay. But the thing is, they don't like competition. If you make something better than them, and it's free they'll do all they can to out-do you. Also, no one ever searches for free stuff. For example, my friend's Dad bought some Microsoft Visual Basic (I think) compiler. The next day, I went searching on the net and found one for free. And it was just as good!
DOWN WITH ELMO!
P.S. Is this 'ALL CAPS DAY' or what?)

DOWN WITH PEOPLE WHO DON'T CONSIDER THE GOOD SIDES A COMPANY CAN BRING YOU!
Actually, MS stole some Mac OS features (amongst a bunch of other OSes), and vice versa.

Uh, they're a profit-making company, you expect them to dance and idle when someone puts out a better product than they have? I cannot see that as a bad quality, really.
As for the question of whether it's evil from MS to include lots of programs in its OS (the media player, Explorer, and the likes) for "free"... I can see how it narrows down people's choices in a sense, they're not searching for other just-as-good programs made by other people, but - uh, why aren't they allowed to sell a package which includes the OS and extra software?
(That was recently in the news, I think someone was threatening to sue them - can't remember more, what was it actually about?)

Microsoft has been under scrutiny by the European Union for a while for monopolistic tendencies, and lost in court, and thus the European Union fined Microsoft for a helluva lot of money, plus made it illegal for them to include this software in future versions of their operating system.
Also, when somebody puts out a better program than Microsoft, they don't do what they should do, get their asses moving and make their own product better. No, they use FUD on their competition, they might even sue and/or threaten their competition, and if they feel REALLY scared, they'll even buy their competition. You don't get healthy competition that way.
It can be compared to a school bully who's selling something... and then a ordinary kid starts selling the same thing, just that it's better than the bully's. You can be certain that the bully will either threaten the other kid, kick his ass, or force him to tell the bully how to do it better, and then one of the other two above.

I don't care if Bill Gates drinks the blood of children as long as I can play Halo 3 online.
Well, that's not strictly true. But it still is. In a way.

Bill Gates isn't head of Microsoft anymore. Didn't you know that?
Wikipedia: "Gates served as the CEO of the company until 2000, when Steve Ballmer took the position."
However, Bill gates is still chairman up to date.

My Dad showed me a few videos on Google of Steve Ballmer. He really loves the company. He showed me a video and it was titled "Steve Bellmer Going Crazy". He was jumping around the stage and everything, all the while people in the audience screaming and cheering. He then said four words: "I LOVE THIS COMPANY!!".
If I was the head of a company that was making me duckloads of money, I'd love it, too.
I never said there's anything wrong with it, if that's what you mean. Cause, yeah, I would too.
