Dink Chat is back up for t3h win!
Last time I did this, it created a surge of chatters coming to our channel. So I try again. I've now set up the stats again, at http://dinkchat.kicks-ass.org/ and you can join the chat at irc://irc.freenode.net:6667/#Dinksmallwood or, if you don't have an IRC client, you can also join us through http://dinkchat.kicks-ass.org/chat/. Everybody's welcome!

Teh sweet. I had a chat yesterday with someone trying to figure out DFArc2, and today with DaVince.
Bobolsen: downloaded Java Platform 2 yet? from http://java.sun.com ?
Yay, it works- thanks for the download tip, I think I'll go check it out.
Yeah, the chat rocks! Wasn't that funny when aerea said that thing
and then Phoenix said that other thing.THAT was hilarious!

Indeed! You're all missing something, people!
I have tried being on, but there still aren't very many people being active, or I am just not active at the same times as everyone else because only a few people live in my timezone

Looks like I linked you to the developer's site. Click here.
I've got a neat idea... Say a time everyone, it would be fun if we all loged into the chat

Hey people, get your butts in there! I'm gonna complain about this until a certain amount of people get talking!
And there's one thing you gotta be aware of when it comes to chats. People idle. You get in, there's like 5-10 people there, but nobody talks. The thing is, don't just leave immediately after arriving. Say hello or state your question/statement, and then stay for a while, cause people will eventually answer you. If you just leave immediately, you're certain never to find anyone to talk to. A chat is generally a non-high priority thing for most people, but they check it every few minutes, if they are present by their computers, and then reply. So stay a while after coming, it makes it a lot more plausible for you to find someone to talk to.

Since people obviously don't visit us, I will then ask you all a question. Think of it as a poll, if you like. So..
Have you, or do you plan to visit the Dink Chat soon? If not, why not? Thanks.

I've been there a couple of times, but there's no one there to chat with

After two days of no one talking, I stopped loitering in there.
I did, and no one talked back.
Just have organised chats like the good old days, I remember being a chat admin and hosting competitions :'( And quizzes :'(
I've been there a couple times, but I often only go to IRC channels when I get bored or have nothing to do. I've got plenty to do nowadays.
