Linux status?

Hi,
I'm sorry if I'm touching on a sensitive issue here -- what exactly is the status of the planned Linux port of Dink Smallwood? Over the last few days (weeks?), I've been looking all over the internet, and I can't find anything. There is "GNU FreeDink", which doesn't seem to have been updated since December 2003. There is also another project, "Windemere", which looks like it was last updated in December 2004 (and http://dink.sourceforge.net/ doesn't even load).
It is my impression that neither of these projects are as of yet in a usable condition. Is this true? Has development stalled on both of them? Are there any other(!) attempts to port Dink to Linux?
In short, is there any way (apart from running the Windows executable using Wine or something) I can play Dink Smallwood (and/or other DMODs) on Linux?

Dink won't work on Linux and never will

Windemere development has been cancelled.
GNU FreeDink works a little bit, but I think there is an issue that causes the main game to crash shortly after starting it.
You can download the game files (without the windows executable) here.

Glenn: Quit being annoying.
Merlin has a working linux port of Dink but he doesn't want to release it for reasons beyond our imagination.
