Computer issues
Well, I guess It Has Finally Happened. My 5-years-old computer has become too buggy to be really usable. It crashes and slows down for no reason often, and the sound is just plain horrible. I do have another computer, but it is even slower that my other computer while running Dink Smallwood, and the graphics look horrible. It looks like I'm not going to be playing Dink Smallwood (or any other computer game) for a while, as I might have to wait three months before buying a computer that actually works properly. Thus I might have to 'leave' for quite some time, sadly. Before I 'leave', a quick status report :
Cloud Castle 2 walkthough : Gah, I guess there really is a curse on this walkthough. I've managed to update it since the last time I talked about it, but it still isn't finished (and no, I couldn't even finish testing Cloud Castle 2 with v1.08). Maybe not talking about it until it is actually finished will end the curse. Yeah, I think I'll try that.
Planewalker : There's not much to say. I was busy redesigning Sigil before my computer became too buggy. Also trying to make the plot 'compatible' with D&D (I seem to be failing miserably, but it's worth a try, I guess).
The Minions of Darkness : I somehow managed to work on it recently and I was writing a mana script for wizards. The enemy spellcasters now have limited mana that slowly replenishes over time. Also, some of the main characters have a new hidden stat (sort of) : the more they cast spells, the more the player will have to wait until the mana bar is full again (if they don't cast spells for a while, the spells will start replenishing faster, to a point). I also scripted a spell that allows some of the minions of darkness and some other creatures to suck the mana out of spellcasters. It's nice if you're playing as a dark creature who has this spell. It's a bit less nice if you're fighting a creature who uses this spell against you.
Well, that's it for some time, I guess. I'll probably be lurking here, and making a post now and then, but not contributing much for a while. Sorry about that.

Hmm, that's too bad
I suppose you've already tried reformatting?

Sometimes, if the RAM is a little flakey, if you underclock it a bit it runs better.
Well, actually the problem doesn't come from the hard drive or the RAM. The problem comes from the fact that my old computer is slowly melting into nothingness and it starts rebooting or crashing for no reason. It started crashing months ago (I couldn't even turn it on) and I managed to fix the problem (I literally opened the computer) but that made the keyboard non-functional in the process, and I had to buy a new keyboard. Since then I've had more and more problems with it, at first with the sound card, and now it crashes often. I suppose I could try underclocking the new computer, but it wouldn't fix the graphics problem, and I'm afraid that the problems I have with the new computer are due to the video card and the screen. And replacing the video card would be very difficult since I'm using a portable computer. Thanks for the tips though.

My computer looks like it's about to go too(Bill not Graph for those of you who are familiar with my little kingdom). It was sitting there telling me it couldn't find any operating system, and I was sitting there feeling smug because I'd backed all my files up, until I realised I had no idea where I'd put my backups.
But it's started working again now...well, as much as it's ever worked I suppose.
