WDE Video Tut 3 - warps
I've done another WinDinkEdit video tutorial, this one on warps: door, stairs, crawl through hole.
Redink1, if you could grab this and put it on the DN, thanks. (By memory, I can't upload files larger than about 8 MB without the DN upload page aborting)

Cool. I finally got round to watching the other two recently and have been looking forward to this one.
Pretty good tutorial, could use some extra explaination though. Something like: Uses the DMOD created for a previous videotutorial would make it somewhat better.

I was about going to put this on The Dink Network, but it seems Dink World died just to spite me. Hrm.
WC said that he formatted the server because he thought it might be comprimised... so it appears so, at least for now.
WC... lives?
I didn't hear from him in a long while.

dang right I live (although it will be in Iraq for awhile). The server is up and running just fine now..redink, I will make you an account for the server and send you the login info.
Simon's website is fully functional and I have e-mailed him his new login info. Sorry for the confusion.
Not sure the files I had available for download are there. I'm reuploading the 3rd Video Tutorial now... should take a while... my upload speed at the moment is less than dialup!
Ouch! I fell sorry for you. Mind you here in New Zealand the upload speed is artifically capped at 128Kbps even on 2Mbps download speeds (the fastest we have here).
Nice
I found the point around 8:45 very amusing... it wasn't super-obvious that you did some editing there, but your voice did seem a bit different, and the numbers in the script file magically changed.
Oh... and just curious, is there any reason why you aren't including the map file and scripts along with each video tutorial? It might help people if they can see what you did at each stage, perhaps.
Edit: Oh, and to figure out the proper x/y coordinates without trial and error, you can just grab the Dink-crawling graphic temporarily, and move the mouse so it appears to fit perfectly. Then just read the x/y values. I doubt that's worth an update to the tutorial, though.

Hey, I love all those suggestions. I never thought to include the map and DMOD file... I should do that next time, or at least put up the dmod stuff at the dinkworld site to download.
Never thought to use the positioning of the actual crawl graphics, thanks for that tip!
Yeah, I edited the file... I actually record in parts, as the FrontCam thing doesn't like stuff over 2 minutes it does weird things to the audio sync, so I end up with about 6 to 7 parts for a 12 minute video.
I might try CamStudio again on the next one... just gotta figure out what to cover in it. Thanks for the feedback.

Include the whole dmod used. That's my suggestion If you do the correction that redink1 suggested then that'd be worthy of a 0.01 update.
