Just an idea I'm throwing out to the staffies. What about making topics that have no new messages except for deleted ones, well, not have the *new* tag? Eh? Eh?

Do you mean have some weird topics where messages from unrelated topics and put together with other unrealted messages to make a strange conversation. Like someone goes "SOB is my favourite mod!" from like a deleted topic in the other section then have someone go "Yeah but the screen won't unlock." from the D-mod section? I think it might be funny, like funnier than what I just did.

I'm waiting for the fix to the "New" tag disappearing from everything if you browse the board for a certain amount of time, which is unavoidable if you've got a lot to catch up with.

And with that, also the red border around posts should stay a bit longer. I guess it's the same problem, though.

How come you have a red border? *superjealous* although I think tan looks, like, much more hip.
Supporting Tal's notion, that annoying disappearance of "new"s happens with me pretty much each time.

I've found that if I just open every topic in a new tab, I can get around that easily enough.

I also open every topic in a new tab, but when having to read a lot of topics, I don't like to have 15+ tabs open, so I split them up. When I'm done with the first batch, the red border around the new posts in the second batch is gone.

EDIT: Well, the border color is #636300, according to the source, so it's not really red, not really green. Instead, it's some sort of brown, but I don't see the difference anyway

I just check every section for new posts (I count them), then I work my way throught the sections one by one. If that would become redundant, that would be great...
