I've seen that there is some kind of board posting rank. Could someone tell me what exactly it is?
Well, you get n rank for how much you have posted. Actually you don't get a rank for how much you are posting, for example, you have to post 30% of the forums posts to be Super regular poster after what I have heard lol, or maybe its more or less, this was just an example.
In that case there would be a maximum of 3 Super Regular posters

People who post above 10% should be ranked post whore or something.
Not really, Dinkkiller is that I think because he was spamming or something, or was he unranked?
He was ranked Post Whore after it became blatantly obvious that he was posting gobs of crap for the sake of boosting his rank, then he was stripped of a rank entirely when he complained about Post Whore. Now that his fuss has long since died down, he's back to a regular rank (Almost-Regular Poster).

No... it doesn't really matter if you need 1% of the posts to be an Uber Poster or if you need 0.8%. If you search around the board, I think I posted more about it a few months ago... but I don't want to look through the code to figure it out again.
So you'll get higher posting ranks by posting more. And no one is going to tell how much that is. But what exactly is ment by posting? Only new topics or also reactions to those. I think I already know the answer but I just need to be sure. Else I wouldn't have posted this entire thing annyway.
All posts add to the postcount, simple 
The whole point of the contributors page board ranking is to not try to get a higher ranking... just a way of seeing 'aha, that guy must have been here a while and posted too much for his own good.' It isn't like you can go around the schoolyard saying "Woo, I'm an Uber Poster and The Dink Network, give me some chocolate milk for free!"
If you post more, your rank will increase over time.
If you have a lot of posts and you don't post anymore, your rank may lower over time very, very slowly. Like a balloon not forged of lead.
