New D-Mod: The Scourger
metatarasal has released The Scourger, a follow-up to Quest for the Gems, his previous D-Mod.
I'm not sure what the plot is about, but I hope it doesn't involve a bunch of tiny insect bat things flying at you out of nowhere and blowing you to bits.

Hmm... I decided to play through Quest for the Gems today, as I couldn't recall whether I'd played through it before or not (I think I had, heh). It's not too bad, actually, but could use just a little bit of polish here and there. I don't see what in the heck you did to screw up Dink's idle sequence.
Anyway. Now I'm off to play The Scourger.

About your problem with QftG: I think that the dink.ini file is screwed, that's why you might be encountering strange things like problems with the base idle. The only way to fix this is to rewrite the dink.ini file... I might release a patch with the repaired dink.ini file in the future. (I actually didn't encounter the base idle bug myself, but I encountered similar problems with The Scourger, so I rewrote the dink.ini for that DMOD just before sending it up for betatesting.)
Still don't know what causes the dink.ini file to change that way...

Were you using any of the sequences around 0-20? I remember having very odd problems when I tried that.
I was using dink's standard base idle (10-19), so yeah I was using them... But I didn't change any of the sequences between 0-20 (for as far as I can remember).
Seems that this year finally has a really good file release... I will probably try it myself before too long.
Nice D-Mod. I only have to beat the (probably) last baddie, but after I lost twice I think I'm going to stock up on Healing Potions and get a levelraise or two
I haven't played much of the d-mod, and very much doubt I'll get around to finishing it... I rarely finish d-mods nowadays.
But from what I've seen, I'm liking it.
