Is it possible...
to reduce loading times to load a midi in Dink in Windows XP? I know there's no fix for this yet, but to reduce it somehow would be super. It would especially be cool when you guys fix it in Dink 1.08 
Get a sound card with MIDI on-board. Most standard newer video card use software MIDI, they load MIDI instruments from the instrument file GM.dls instead of from a chip on the sound card.
Other than that, I don't really know a fix. Maybe find a different dls file on the internet which can replace the original MIDI GM.dls and is smaller than the original GM.dls... That would certainly work faster.

I looked into that a couple months ago, and concluded that it would not be a simple fix, so I decided not to pursue it.
I know this is off topic but who are you John Hagen and why dont you just join instead of always being ghost?
