I don't get it

God dang INI editing, I just don't get it. Ive looked at tutorials and such, and other INI lines, but I'm still confusedified. If I had 52 graphics in a folder in graphics called extras what do I type to load it into a blank sequence? I've tried about 20 different things all causing nothing to happen. They are in the dink pallette. Well, I'm gonna go tear some more of my hair out.

The pictures must be named *-01.bmp *-02.bmp etc. You can't have more than 50 graphics in the same sequence, IIRC, so you'll have to divide them in multiple sequences. So you could name 50 of them extra-01.bmp extra-02.bmp extra-03.bmp etc and the rest extra2-01.bmp extra2-02.bmp and so on.

Then to load them in dink.ini:

load_sequence graphics\extras\extra- 851 (this is the number of the sequence, if you load them in the slot 851 they'll be on the last page)

load_sequence graphics\extras\extra2- 852

BUT, yes, huge but, only one t this time.

The filenames must be in the 8.3 DOS format. That means 8 characters for the name, then a dot, then 3 characters for the extension. So extra2-01.bmp is 9.3, which is too much.

I don't know for sure if the hyphen (-) is necessary, seeing as you also use it in the load_sequence.

Say we have a file called:
extra201.bmp
and an ini line like this:
load_sequence graphics\extras\extra2 851
Would that work, or is the hyphen necessary?

the seth graphics were named w/o the hyphen, so, they aren't necessary

They don't have to be in dos format... at least, not more so as dmod names. The hyphen is necessary.

And how do you read the Seth boss graphic name? Dir.ff is the only thing i can see, and the "open" graphics aren't included in the graphics pack. Does WDE show the BMP names, or maybe even DE does? Hehe, it comes to my mind that I really never have done a lot of map editing.

There are init-lines in the script in which they are replacing the grey wizard graphics.

I object
But that package doesn't contain the seth graphics. (I thought they were included in BMP format on the CD, though I'm not sure...)

actually, i "undir"ed the graphics, something that came with undink, so that allowed me to have all the graphics in the original game therefore being able to see the file name
