Off Topic: Is anyone working on any non-Dink projects?

I was just wondering if anyone was working on any other type of game? Do you need some original music for your project? As you may or may not know, I'm a composer by trade and am looking to gain some more experience in the gaming industry. I have experience writing for all genres, including orchestra, jazz, small ensemble, rock, folk, etc... not mention I'm writing the music for my own d-mod. I am capable of producing music in MIDI format or mp3/wave. I understand that you probably won't be able to pay me, and thats fine, as long as you're not making money yourself

I have worked on many projects since I left Dink. The first Empire Earth campagin (= kinda disappointed by that), I worked on the Operation Flashpoint campaign team, made some levels for FPS's but I mainly do strategy guides and Morrowind Mods now. www.morrowindfiles.com is the site that I am on staff for. 2nd in command . Anyways I have created two mods for Morrowind already and because of my work on Dink I was able to easily grasp Morrowind's scripting language and produce some of the best scripted mods out there.

I would really love any music you could donate, whether MIDI or MP3. I still like MIDI's because I think they have a certain nostalgia so last night I was using soundforge to convert some Dink MIDI's to MP3. If you want proof that I am a serious modder just contact me and I'll show you some code, screenshots, or whatever.

If you do choose to donate something I really don't care what it is. I can fit pretty much anything in so just do what you like to do. Morrowind is a fantasy RPG though but whatever...

When did you ever join?

Sorry to say so, but I can't remember you no matter how hard I try.

Actually I left about 6 months after Dink was first released. I was with the Dink Community since it first came out back in the Mike Snyder days. I pretty much just talked to Mike and redink1 while making my mods, than i just left...

oh man, where do i start... I've managed to over extend myself a bit these days. aside from college, and something i like to call a life, i have pytrem (http://sourceforge.net/projects/pytrem), which is an A-life simulator written in python. I have ddmodd, which is oing ahead, albiet slowly. I am involved with developing a python backend for an accounting package to a mysql database, I am also a level designed for an open source game. I have college, and a part time job selling PC's to people. that is waaaayyyy too much work. don't do it!

If you want some experience, i suggest you get a sourceforge username, and check out the jobs wanted section. there is almost allways a project or two wanting composers. you get your name in the credits, get to work with cool people, (and it looks real good on a CV, if your project gets to be reasonably famous) the down side is that you don't get paid, but hey, who does, without a formal qualification?

so yeah.... coolo beans...

My mod was one of the first out. Moorack and the Pillbugs, and then Revenge of the Cast. The other one I was working on I presumed I had lost but redink1 had a copy so maybe I'll release that one later.
