I start to hate reading walkthroughs but this time i found myself stuck again so I had to read the walkthrough. The walkthrough says I have to buy a bomb to blow up a rock. But bombs cost 20gp each while u start with 15gp. thats a shame cause i cannot earn any money. Some bookcase says u can earn money with scraping lead from rocks and sell them but that wont work yet

does no one know how to get 20gp in the beginning of that game?

If I remember right you need to scrape mushrooms.

Hit them with your sword... talk to them... caress them... I'm pretty sure you need to scrape something.

yeah i know, but how am I supposed to buy a sword that costs 250gp when i have only 15gp. besides the walkthrough only says I have to buy a bomb. It does not say where to get the money from

I believe one of the wizards tells you he has the ability to change lead into gold... try examining (or punching, I forget) some rocks that look like lead.

Ow thnx, I ve found a few rocks. I thought that I couldnt do that yet cause the first 4 rocks I found did not give me lead

All you need to do is visit the well below the trees. If it is yellow and you are not fully healed it will top up your health bar. If it is yellow and you are fully healed it will either a. give you a potion or b. give you a random amount of gold. Once you have used the well it goes dark, but if you revisit from time to time it becomes yellow again and you can repeat the process. I had 40 something gold before I even got to the lead scraping part.

I think he's got enough gold now, after three years.

I'm stuck on this myself now. The wizard will trade lead for gold but only up to a point. Once you have a certain amount of gold, he won't give you any more.

How do I get more? I tried killing pillbugs and slimers but neither of them seems to have gold.

I realize I can go to the well repeatedly, but that seems tedious. Is there a hidden gold cache somewhere?

Isn't there a shitload of gold to get from enemies under the church?

I cheated and read the walkthru. There IS a ton of gold under the church, but you need a sword to get down there and the sword itself costs 450. It turns out the otherwise-useless guy in the hotel can help you.

How long does it even take for the well to allow me to get another present? I haven't played yet & it seems like something that would be good to know.

Worth noting: you can only buttstomp if you're "unarmed". If you've armed anything (even the herb boots), you can't buttstomp.

Probably a few minutes. Or until you load a game. Note that it doesn't need to be an old game. If you same your game, then load that same game, all wells are yellow again.

That's a bug which isn't really worth exploiting, except in one place quite late in the game...
