I was wondering what you all thought of Dink's sex obsession. The main reason being that I want to make sure I don't upset too many people by making him have too much of said obsession or (god forbid) too litlle of said obsession.

I don't think d-mods benefit in any way whatsoever from sex/sexual references. If they were done in a witty way, fine... but they never are (IMHO).

I've found that how Dink acts reflects d-mod author's personality. IMO, a sex joke, done well, and at the right time is very much a good thing. However, when they're thrown in just to be there, they're barely even amusing.

I take it you guys aren't the biggest fans of the dinklibby modification to the main game...

Oh and by the way I was asking you what level you think I should put Dink's obsession with sex at, not his sexual activity, although I do appreciate knowing that too since I am less likely to stuff that up now. Thanks guys.

I have always taken the cue from the original game. This is a character that hits on his own aunt. If it's female, it's game.

The only difference is that as far as I can recall he never succeeded in picking up any women in the original game.

But I think your jokes are a bit more smutty than Seths. His are more "Wanna go on a date?", wheras yours are more akin to that age old chat up line; "Wanna go over behind that tree so I can bang you senseless until your eyes pop out?".

I remember starting this D-Mod (which of course was going to turn out huge, but then I got into IB and stopped working on it totally and completely) where a Dead Dragon Carcass cult leader attempted to make some moves on the approx. 13-year-old girl that you play in the D-mod.

(Then again, if 13-year-olds are having sex in real life, why not in D-mods...?)

I'm not bothered by most of the stuff people put in their D-Mods... I think that most of the people here wouldn't be offended by anything. But that's still far from actually finding something amusing.

What about Dink being in love/having a girlfriend? What do you think of that?

Just don't make a harem anime type dmod. I don't like it when women dominate Dink or he is stupid.. Loser heroes are lamelamelame.

Ugh. I'd never forgive myself for making something like that. I value plot above all else in games... and that would be material that a good plot could be made out of.
