simple question
How do I know what the depthque is on the objects?
With windinkedit Rclick on an object then open 'properties', Lower-left it tells you.
I know how to edit the depthque, but what i don`t know is how to know what value It should, I know it have something with Y coordinat to do,
I'm not sure what you need.
Just change it until Dink is on top when in front of it or under when behind.
Or in the dink.ini file it is the 3d and 4th (x and y)number in the load sequence line.
Then you can leave it at -1 in the editor and it should be close.
Note* this may need a lot of tinkering.....

I understand what you mean Glenn, I have the same problem... How is it possible to tell an object which depth que it must have? i mean, sometimes it works by just randomly entering a value, but that doesn't work always...
It's actually very irritating...

There is no way to see the depth que of an object in the dinkedit editor.
The fastest way to know what depth que to give to something is to just change it until you get it right, but you can also check it in dink.ini

Actually, it's even easier if you understand that the depth que is directly related to the y-axis coordinate on screen.
Almost sprite has a defined "center point" in the Dink.ini The second number of that center point, the y-axis, will be its default depth que. Dink's center point is pretty much the bottom of his feet. So if you want a sprite to be behind Dink at certain point on the screen, make sure that the sprite's depth que is lower than where Dink's feet will be on the y-axis.
