Trapper: Here's a tip for you. Don't tell people that something is extremely easy even if they can't use it. That shows a motivation for personal reasons and a lack of interest in the team. And plus, nobody wants to read your bad grammar and spelling. Spelling is so easy, "y cant u spell?"

So, how many people do you have on your team?

WC, do what you do best.

I'm not gonna be a dick, but I do have to warn you: making Dmods is much, much harder than you think. I mean, you look at a Dmod like Pilgrim's Quest and say: "if I knew *exactly* what I was doing, I could script/map/blend that in a week!"

Of course, you'd be right. But the problem, in my experience, is that if you do, in fact, have everything planned, and know *exactly* what you're doing, things get boring and you end up ADDing. At least I do.

But if you have no idea what you're doing, you end up having to redo everything several times.

So, the point is, no matter how you go about it, making a good Dmod takes a deceptive amount of time and creativity.

Given that, as well as the Dink Network's amazing track record of overly ambitious projects, you can understand why people would be amused, or even resentful at your... nonchalance (there's gotta be a shorter word for that) about making a great Dmod.

My advice is to not be so ambitious. People care more about gameplay and story than they do about having new graphics for random background objects. I, for one, like the graphics from the original.

But that's advice. If you want to replace stuff, people will appreciate it.

Now I don't quite understand this. It appears WC is the only one who as the ability to flame without most of his posts getting deleted. I know he used to be on staff and all, but I don't quite see how he can get away with it. Or is this board just a representation of the American Judicial system?

If you were from Bosnia then I might understand why your grammar and spelling suck. If you're from America however, then you're under 12 years old, stupid or just a dickhead. Judging from you actions I'd go for the last option.

Actually, redink1 cracks down on WC's harshest stuff. However, WC still gets away with more flaming than most others.

Thing is though, I sometimes think that the n00b cannon is a neccessary evil, otherwise a forum can be overrun by asstards... as oppossed to just having one.

Hey, I tell that to everyone who's going to try their hand at modding!

Aye. I try to delete WC's flaming messages. If I'm missing some messages that should be deleted let me know.

For me its more of a matter of perception... if I see something and it looks like it will be taken in jest, then I let it slide. If I see malicious intent, or if I think someone will take it seriously, I delete it.

Well I pray it shall be a great D-Mod we all can enjoy...I just hope we can read it and the story is more complicated than "Bloop the Fish".
