So I finally got to see this movie and I liked it (no surprise there). Not that much new information for people who follow these topics, but still great.

What do other people think? Who saw it? Who's afraid to go see? What will Merlin not like about the movie?

Let's discuss now, dangit!

Great flick, and I hate how people say its baised and all Left-winged. There is plenty of Right-wing action in it the only problem is that the Right-wings only politcal stance, or mentatlity is "Follow the Leader", so Mike Moore couldnt realy use that too much with out getting boring.

I'm glad to see someone can make such a grand example of what's wrong with the American political process...and even more glad that people are watching it. Even if I dont like opinion and entertainment being mixed together.

Wait Dukie arent you in the UK? They have it in theaters there?

Sincerely,
The Vault Dweller

Last I heard, it was going to be released in the UK and Canada first, because it had to clear certain "hurdles" before they could show it in the US.
I still think Mickal Moore should run for pres.

Dukie is from Holland (I do believe).

But yes, the film is showing here in the U.K. I'll have to go and see it soon, though Michael Moore does strike me as bit of a bloated pig-creature.

I disagree. You are from Holland dammit.

NOTE -- Dukie is entirely correct. He knows where he comes from. I was wrong. I knew it was either Belgium or Holland, and judging Dukie by his hallucinogenic pastimes, I went for the latter.

Sorry man.

You are forgiven.

Now stop soiling this fine Fahrenheit 9/11 thread with that discreet, British humor!

WC is probably aspiring for being dismembered and seeing little girls noses being blown off for oil and politicians business exploits or something.

Daniel, there are clowns.
I've thought about it, and all I really know about Moore is that the very mention of his name will start a flame war.

I think I saw part of his movie about Flint, Michigan. But that was a long time ago, so I honestly can say I have no room to judge his films... one way or the other. I usually don't go to the movies anyway.

I don't have a problem with the entertainment, personally. For me, the main question is whether or not the (supposed - I wouldn't know, I'm British) pro-Bush bias in sections of the American media can actually justify the production of a film that's being just as one-sided in order to balance things out.

That, and I'm not entirely sure I can trust the word of someone who appears to love himself more than his subject matter, given that his grinning ginger face has an off-putting habit of staring out at me from his work. Still, perhaps it's personality that's important when getting your ideas across, I don't know.

I heard a bestselling French book says that the CIA remotely controlled the planes that hit the Twin towers to create an excuse for the War on Terror so the USA can start flexing its power around the world. That seems kinda farfetched to me, but I just thought of something.

To the Europeans who come here...does your country mostly support or disagree with the War on Terror?

Sincerely,
The Vault Dweller

I would say the majority of the British public are dead against the "War on Terror". Or at least the way in which it has been executed.

But, with the ever brilliant Tony Blair "governing" the country, you can be sure we would go to war with the Moon if George Bush asked.

I still think Hussien had to go, but some things don't add up. Why were rebuilding contracts being negotiated before Bush was even elected?
This news team points out some motives.
I like Michal Moore, but in 'Bowling for Columbine' he portrayed Canada as being a bit roseier than it realy is. Listen to him with a grain of salt, but listen for sure.
