Yeah, you're right.I just am proud of how big a looser i am. I post a lot, but i really haen't been here that long so my rank doesn't completely reflect it. I'm just a big post whore. But, at leat i try and stir discusion in the boards with my posts.

Whats worse arent people who post nonsensical things, but those that post without any info to reply on. Like those posts that only say "Oh I agree with you (enter name)" and dont add anything to the discussion by bringing up examples or asking questions...

But this here is a Message Board, not a forum limited to people posting worthwhile things.

Otherwise I'd have to call it something like the "Worthwhile Message Board", which just doesn't have that nice ring to it. Or I would have to get all judgemental on people, deleting messages left and right.

Dude 1: "Dude, I just bought a cool Hazda HK42 car!"

What should Dude 2 say? "I hear that car gets excellent gas mileage in the city, usually about 34 miles per gallon except when there are lots of stop lights then it will generally get 34 miles a gallon minus the average number of stop lights in an hour multiplied by pi"? Why can't he just say "Yeah, that's pretty cool!"?

Just because the message board is in writing doesn't mean that we have to limit 'worthlessness'.

And then Dude 1 would then say:

"And it gets better. I just saved 15 percent or more on my car insurance by switching to Geico!"

Yeah, but have you never noticed a trend in these "I agree with you" posts? The topic starter makes a statement. Then someone replies with I agree or I don't agrre (+ reason in the latter case). The following posts will all be I agree/disagree posts depending on what the second poster said UNTIL someone actually interrupts them by going against the flow and saying I agree/disagree (opposite of initial statement of course). Then an entire barrage of posts will follow that also do NOT agree/disagree until someone breaks it again. That's why these longwinded I agree/disagree threads are never a good representation of what people are thinking + doesn't contribute to the topic at all. So, even though this isn't a board for scientists, one sentence posts like "I don't like candy" are plain USELESS and I consider them spam.

End of rant.

i think spam can be a good thing sometimes, because it gives people something to talk about, and it gives a legitimate reason for us to blow people/countries up.(unless we're north korea, then we don't need a reason to do that) plus, spam is tasty when it doesn't dry and crackle your tongue or when it's not eighteen years old.

I agree that you all like what I've added to this thread. Perhaps I should disagree to keep it going.

Unless learning is allowed to occur through the individuals own will and choice it is neither enjoyable or very succesful.

My favorite project/paper/assignment so far is one from last semester. It was convincing speech to tell people about the realities of parasites...yes the ones that live inside us. I included pictures as visuals...made the professor jump! Just as I intended...

So next time you feel a squirming sensation...just remember its your friendly, internal tapeworm/fluke/or rock hard, undigested granola bar.
