SabreTrout is an Excellent Reviewer

"One of the new features with v1.00 (originally devised by myself) is it is now extremely simple to select sprites that are behind other sprites." - my review of WDE
"Sadly, as redink mentions, it makes it very difficult to select a sprite under another sprite (though this is not a large problem)." - Sabre's review of WDE

Ah. This stems from my inability to proof-read my own writing. I couldn't figure out why the heck my review had become invlaidated, so I just submitted it again... DOH!!
How come my review got validated, when it talks complete crap? I'll change it now, but really... The blame is all yours!

I thought it was funny, and validating it doesn't hurt anything

You have... feelings? Wow... what's that like?
Fish are okay to eat because there are a lot of them.
But there's only 1 SabreTrout! Woohoo!

I'm guessing that, once again, noone caught my reference? Could there possibly be something in the way?
I guess lyrics I didn't understand the first couple times by an overrated band don't usually come to my mind. Don't get me wrong, they were a great band, but he was immortalized by suicide, just like Ian Curtis with Joy Division.
Well, I thought the band and the song were common enough that I could quote the song and someone would be quick to notice. Perhaps not, but I can't say I'm disappointed or anything. Like all other people, I associate certain words with particular memories or arts... and when I think of fish, I think of that song.
And I personally find the band genuinely excellent, though there is no disputing taste.

I just think sometimes people don't go very far with their musical tastes, they just stick the most well-known and critically acclaimed bands. Everyone has heard of Nirvana, but do you know the Pixies? Have you heard the Melvins? How about the Jesus Lizard (you can't tell me that "Then Comes Dudley doesn't sound a lot like "Milk It")? You should all start listening to Gang of Four(I'm positive that you all will just toss aside my advice).

OHHHH, I get it now! Haha. (Normally that would apply to a...oh.)

I've made a "where is my mind?" reference once or twice on this board, I'm sure, even before watching Fight Club. Have you heard of boysetsfire? Lacuna Coil? The Vandals? alexisonfire? In Flames? The Voodoo Glow Skulls? Voltaire? Inkubus Sukkubus? Joydrop? The Meat Puppets?
I listen to about half of those. I thought you knew about the pixies, but it was a generalization to everyone. I have all of the boysetsfire and vandals albums except I'm missing a couple of early vandals. I have a meat puppets album, and I have heard of the Voodoo Glow Skulls. (So much music and so little time) I have heard of all those other bands before from you, but it's often hard to find any music that isn't popular at any of my record stores.
As I thought.
I try to expose myself to a decent variety of music, though a near-total lack of cash and weak access to p2p bliss hinders that. I typically try to pursue any recommendations made by people, slowly but surely. And if you (or anyone else here) could cram an assload of MP3s onto a CD and send it to me, I'd be quite grateful (though I don't expect anyone to do that).

Tal, where should I send this to? I'd be glad to help someone who wants to hear music they haven't been exposed to. I am always in this position.
Hey, I like any position. Wait, wrong thread..
I shall PM you info.

Uff Da, that's a ways away. But you might still be in my time zone (central, I'm right on the edge of the time zone in fact, we used to be in the mountain time zone a couple decades ago). I'm also wondering which bands I should send. I think I'll start with the post-punk bands.
This goes out to everyone, if you want to find some good music, you should try checking out allmusic.com which has reviews for most bands and has links to bands that influenced and bands that are similar to, in the same genre, etc. It is a great resource. Also check out markprindle.com for some reviews on good bands. He isn't always "right" in my opinion, but I find him more on the mark than say rolling stone or pitchforkmedia.
Uff Da? I am indeed in the Central time zone. And post-punk sounds fine to me.
"Uff da" is a norwegian expression that kind of means a sigh of relief or wooah! or something like that. I don't know the exact translation or anything, but I have heard it alot in my time (my grandparents on my dad's side both spoke norwegian as their first language and have norwegian accents [my grandpa has an unbelievably thick accent] it's almost hard to believe that they were born in North Dakota).
Speaking of the Meat Puppets, II is an awesome album, it even gets me to like some countryish stuff. I was turned off the first time I heard them, though. I tried downloading one of their albums but I could only find "Backwater" at first. Now that is one horribly bad song. It is so bad it makes me laugh every time I talk about it. You should hear it once just for the cheesiness. I wouldn't recommend listening to it after that, because it is painful.
wait wait wait, how long has this thread been about shootty, west coast 90's bands an i havent been involved?? alota the bands you are talking about safmoor sound like ones listed in kurdt cobains diary... Why dont I slide in here and say try some of the new school year 2000+ plus music
by that I mean east coast boston punk rock seen. with Leftover crack, the unseen, the casualties, toxic narcotic, Mourning Glory, and more

Uh Bunnie, that was the point, the bands that I was mentioning were bands that were big influences on Nirvana, yet most Nirvana fans never heard of them. And ya, I listen to punk rock. And ya, I want cheesy poofs. And I need to get some sleep.
I have no idea what you guys are talking about ((was born in 1989 so im not much into music of that time for obvious reasons))
....thus making your post absolutely useless.
I was born in 1988, and I listen to music from that time, in fact I've listened to music from way before I was born.
