"Uff da" is a norwegian expression that kind of means a sigh of relief or wooah! or something like that. I don't know the exact translation or anything, but I have heard it alot in my time (my grandparents on my dad's side both spoke norwegian as their first language and have norwegian accents [my grandpa has an unbelievably thick accent] it's almost hard to believe that they were born in North Dakota).
