I guess I just think differently.

1) If Gore had won, and 9/11 occurred, I honestly don't know what would have happened. Would his presidency cause all terrorists to kill 'all the men fighting over there', or anything remotely comparable. I doubt it? Hell, there's a good chance that there would be more American soldiers alive today, if in this alternate universe we didn't invade Iraq. Would Saddam still be in control? Possibly. Would the world really be that worse off, considering we've found zilch in the Weapons of Mass Destruction department?

2) If McCain had won the republican primaries in 2000, and in turn the presidency, I think he would have done a better job doing everything than Bush has thus far. I offer no proof, for I honestly don't pay much attention to politics, but McCain seems like one of the few 'good guys' in politics who is (or rather, seems) trustworthy. But at least we probably wouldn't have secret courts, innocent suspects shipped off to Libya for torturing because they were suspected to be terrorists, and the Patriot Act.

From what I hear of Kerry, he seems similar to McCain... he also fought in Vietnam, and after fighting he joined the protesters. He didn't run away to Canada, and he didn't join the national guard and leave early (as Bush seems to have done). But I really haven't looked at his policies.

Anyway, I did a bit of research in my sleep deprived state... and Kerry seems to be a fair amount more liberal than McCain, which isn't really a good or bad thing to me. His voting record lines up with my personal opinions more than McCain, which is a good thing. He still ain't a match, but there really isn't anybody decent running who is. I'm not going to pass judgement yet, but right now he certainly has my preference over Bush.

ALL but about 10 ppl the RETARTED american government killed in all the holy crusades over the past few years have been totally innocent. For one thing, you're reading my post wrong. I was talking about bemoaning something that can't be changed. It's a done deal. Everybody has had their say about war/no war but it happened.

To wish that the usa lost and saddam won is wishing for uncountable casualties, brutal torture, and unspeakable actions against our soldiers that would have been captured.

Politics one way or the other were not my intended meaning. So have fun with your "dumb rant". Regardless of your 'what might have beens', there will be one result from the war and that is this: The Islamic radicals that brought about 9/11 will not be so fast to brand the usa as cowards and weaklings. Hopefully, this will give them pause before another 3000 or so innocents are murdered.
