Day and Night problem...

Ok, I reached a dead end in that one, the plot in my D-mod got to have a night in it, and the *.bmp file with the black web isn't enough convincing... it doesn't look like night to me, maybe you guys found better ideas? I didn't play to many D-mods to know if there was a different/better soloution to this

The best way if you can spare the tile sets and map screens would be to duplicate the tiles only have one set darker. You will need to edit them in an image editing program like photoshop or paint shop pro, but it would be pretty easy.

You would probably need to make darkened sprites which would be a huge job. Maybe worth a try without though.

Oh no, it would be a lot of work... and I don't have a good image editting program that can change shades and such... I mean all I done was downloading texturs from the net and using them in paintbrush

Well, maybe it can look ok with day lighted sprites, if not... well it's not a problem to change the dink sprite right? I already tried that one

I may have an answer for you but it's secret. Well not exactly but I'm working on a d-mod using this method for Redink1's cvontest and I'd like to get it out while it's still novel. I'll tell you the "secret" techinique if you can assure me this d-mod won't come out before the new hero contest (part of the contest would be fine). Email me if you're interested.

For any of you who know what I'm talking about, let me have my fun please.

Anyway, FIAT v1.00 uses it... and has used it for quite some time. It might be released before the contest...
