so now that the supported US full frontal hostile takeover of iraq is over. how have your opinions changed now that the bushies have stopped spitting out bullshoot about saddams eminent threats and 911? people here were saying all along the war is wrong and some have supported the war 100%. now is when we find out that supporting and believing what some idiot up in the capitol says to pull the strings is very very bad and why people need to be allowed to question and disagree. do you think this war accomplished anything? i predicted it will only get worse. when you do things like this and strike violence there are always consequences and it is better to try and spark positive change rather than to force people to do what your narrow minded view places them into. bush is a pinko commie he should be shot in the head and burried in a pile of the dead iraqi children he killed.

I think it sends a horrible message of the US, two wars within three years, what will North Korea do? Their infantry more than matches ours, if we do go to war with them, we'll have to bring back the draft. They have a dictator, a country that we know for sure that has biological and nuclear weapons, almost as many people die in the country every year as are in the army, and we don't care about getting rid of terror in that country because we fear trying to win the war with infantry, otherwise civilian casualties will be gigantic and they will be too huge to go unnoticed like Iraq. Also, Kim Jong is much closer to being a powerful Hitler figure than Saddam, despite Bush's "I pretend I know what the f*ck I'm talking about" speeches. Too bad I'm only fifteen, I want to get as many people as I can to vote against Bush, even if I do live in a conservative state, It would show how good bush's chances were if he lost in a state that hasn't voted democrat except for Lyndon B. Johnson and Franklin D. Roosevelt.

-Yes josh, I'm completely pissed at Bush, though perhaps not as much as you are.

*nods to what safmoor said*
Our school sometimes randomly has the pledge of allegience on the morning announcements. Everyone is expected to stand up and say it; not only do I refuse to say it, but I am learning the Canadian national anthem so that one of these days I will sing it instead of saying the pledge.

Luckily, I'm not the only one. At work, many of my dads coworkers are fed up with bush too. I hope we can get this donkey out of office with his bullshoot tax cuts that make taxes extremely high later when I'm an old fart.

Don't they also realize that trying to make Iraq a democracy is like telling a dog to be a cat or telling someone not to be fabulous. "Good boy, now Don't be fabulous Sparky!" They should just accept the fact that Iraq will not have a stable democracy for at least another 20 years. If things go as is, it might take even longer.

I don't really want to comment on the issue, but I just had to since the name of the discussion was exactly the same as a song I got lyrics to some months ago..

if you're easily offended and patriotic, don't go read them.

Maybe so, but Iraq has never been a world power like Japan was, and Japan has influenced children with their games and culture overly so, they have gotten their revenge.

I think it sends a horrible message of the US, two wars within three years

Reminds me of the atom bomb droppings in Hiroshima and Nagasaki at the end of World War 2. Both are so politically driven, almost entirely so.

As for the next election, I can actually vote for it. It seems so soon, and I still feel 15, but anyway, I'll have to see who's running against Bush, though Bush has a couple stains on him.

I don't know if we're going to be doing anything about North Korea though. North Korea is in shambles. A third world country, and one of the only that is nearly completely dark at night from space. Any conflict with North Korea in the near future seems unlikely, especially after Iraq. I'm quite naive nowadays in the area of politics though, so my opinions may be out of date. Correct me wherever necessary.

Ralph Nader was a man who knew what he was talking about. Republicans didn't vote for him because he was a commie liberal, Democrats didn't vote for him because they were afraid that Bush would win, so the two guys that I would vote for (if I could) would be Gen. Wesley Clark or Howard Dean. I would go for Dean, but Clark is probably going to win the democratic nomination.

Really, I don't ever think I've engaged in a friendly discussion about the U.S. and Irak..
It's more like avoiding that subject. Usually people like, um, react to it quite interestingly.

Ironic, considering that America is a country founded in part thanks to its 'treason' against Britain.

If you find something offensive, that's *your* problem. Personally, the blue sky offends me (I'd much prefer a nice red, apocolyptic sky), but that's my problem.

Freedom of speech rules!

I was thinking of countering you arguement there, but my breath is wasted. The truth is, no one can statisfy everyone. Someone will always she dog about something, and no matter what you do in life, someone will always see it as wrong. I agree it could have been done better, however, that would have required other countrys to step up, offer to help, and put in their input instead of what happened. I have a personal opinion that the way the UN handles it's meetings need to change, but that is a epic story I will not type.

(Example)

50 million numbers signed up for the National Do Not Call list, and some people still have the nerve to turn it down...I consider 50 million a majority in the US.

um how do you have a free voice if you cant disagree? the country is not a democracy when it brainwashes people to think a certain way. bush and his donkey friends are tyrannical and that calls for a suitable application of treason. they suck. the country sucks when people dont question and let the country do fudgeed up things in the name of the 'democracy' its a shame and it makes me ashamed to live in such a selfish arogant piece of shoot country. the fudgein losers suck who tell me to worship some flag and follow the acts of greed it portrays. if this country was so free i would punch everyone in the head for sucking so much. whats offensive is BIGOTRY, RACISM, FASCISM, and VIOLENCE and that is what this retarded nation stands on. sure there is always something to complain about, but the need to complain will never cease. we cant let ourselves die quietly. at least we can try. if pointing out the problems is one thing i cant do, what do we have? what is the point of life?

i say we go rent a huge ass truck, go down to the pound, pick up 1,000 dogs, back the truck up to the white house to deliver georgey his coccain and cracker jacks, open up the back of the truck, and proceed to beat the dogs in the head with baseball bats while they rabbidly disperse into george's living room. that is justice.

I am going to spend a good amount of my life defending this country in the US air force just so little ingrates like you can sit back and she dog about how bad we are doing. I don't see you doing any better and it's real easy to sit back and say "I could od it better. Lets see how well you do when you have a staff breathing down you neck on these issues awaiting results. See how bad you are when the entire world is watching what you are doing. Lets see you do better when you are in charge of a country and have to do as much as him. SUCK IT!

PS This democracy doesn't brainwash people, the fudgeing media does that. If this country is so bad, move to france you fudgetard.

GET THE fudge OUT OF MY COUNTRY!

Since when were they keys to the United States of America given to one Michael Bracklein of Las Vegas, Nevada? I thought it would at least be on some completely unbiased news station like FOX News Channel or something.

Anyway, those dang Jews should have moved out of Germany in the 1930's. I mean, if they didn't like how the noble and just German government was adjusting racial equality, they should have gotten out of the dang country, and should have moved to Switzerland or something. Its their own fault, right? Perhaps the most patriotic people in recent times went by the name of 'Nazi'.

After all, people in government never abuse their positions, so the rest of the country should have a nice cup of STFU and allow their rights to be taken away without question.

Tell Bush to get the fudge out of my country!! He goes to the UN basically asking for an apology from them and tells them to start kissing his ass!! What a dumb piece of shoot. He gives our country a bad name. He has proven that corporations controlling America isn't a joke or a myth, it's the pure and simple truth. If you can't see that, you are blind or you just have had your eyes closed this whole time. Those fudgeers stole the election and most people say "get over it, that was two years ago". fudge That!! Are we just letting our country turn into a bigger joke than it already is?

Holy crap son, you got some apples in the orange bucket there!

Ok, so, maybe we shouldn't have gone into Iraq. After all, they were better off with saddam in charge anyway. They had one heck of a stable economy, and heck, it's not like saddam held all the cards. Hell saddam was a nice guy, never threatened anyone, in fact, I even let this outstanding guy screw my sister!

Since when were they keys to the United States of America given to one Michael Bracklein of Las Vegas, Nevada? I thought it would at least be on some completely unbiased news station like FOX News Channel or something.

Never. But people (josh the dumbass) sit here and she dog because it wasn't done perfectly (which I am rather sick of). No one is perfect here but me, and I am a perfect donkey. Saddam should have been taken out of power back in 1991, sure, we didn't do it perfectly this time, but I don't see us going in there and slaughtering the whole country. In fact, we took great care going in there, but it is war. You may not like it, but Iraq is better off with some help. It may not be paradise right now, but things are getting better, and things are progressing alot better without saddam. This is not about our government being corrupt. If bush was like saddam, you should be dead for questioning him right now. Now how does fudgeing hitler killing jew have to do with us taking out a coirrupt leader who is killing his people and running his country into the ground for nothing but his own good?

After all, people in government never abuse their positions, so the rest of the country should have a nice cup of STFU and allow their rights to be taken away without question.

I agree, but did bush abuse his position? Nope. It wasn't totally his say either. He, and others acted on the Intel he got from our military and the British military...or did you forget that?

Er... what? I mentioned nothing about Iraq. I don't know whether I support it or not. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't.

I was just trying to address that blind patriotism has far worse consequences than saying what you believe (however misguided it may be) to be right.

If anything, I was targeting such legislation as the Patriot Act, which was promised to be used only against terrorists, but now the Justice department is trumpeting its use over regular criminals.

It seems like its going to get so bad that if you stare at some lowly sherriff wrong, he will be able to search every single record that the government has on you, and find something that you did wrong. Didn't come to a complete stop? Did a bit of jaywalking? Oooh, it looks like you're having an affair. And so on.

But overall, I was trying to address the issue in general terms, and definately wasn't targetting the Iraq situation.

Nationalism is the belief that a country should act alone (i.e. not be part of something like the United Nations or European Union), or to get freedom from another power (i.e. American Revolution). Patriotism is love of and devotion to one's country.

Nationalism is NOTHING like facismn, wtf are you thinking? The US needs to be part of the UN, there is no doubt in that. But just because other countries doesn't want to get involved in a war, doesn't mean it's a bad thing (war is a bad thing, but if it's for the overall good, it needs to occur).
