i have been mucking about for a little while trying to figure out how you people get the floor tiles to line up right ?

there is only 4 wood floor tiles? it just seems a bit odd ..
my guess is that there are more of them and they were swapped out for others ?

bah that was the wrong screen shot .... but it still shows the issue

the other shot was better it was just the corners and middle that were funny..

OHHHHH, ok i got it ...

I disagree.
May I suggest you to open one big thread instead of making many small ones. It will also be useful to have answers in one place for the next generation of dmoders.

I object
You have to place the floor tiles staggered. But it sounds you found it out by now too.

I disagree.
Ain't Russian. Just some heavy twist on my mother language. I was just testing will it accept UTF8 since there aren't any known Cyrillic users here. As for the floor, wait until you come to building tiles. Man those are messy.

I made an illustrated guide. Purely from memory. You're welcome, future generations. *an emoticon wearing cool glasses, smoking a cigarette all sideways like*

HARD BOXES ..

warp hardbox i get don't need help
tiles hardbox i get don't need help [including objects here]

there is a third one that i accidentally activated ... that lets to draw hardness anywhere[ without using tiles but it's only low ] which is fine for blockers ... any one know what i am talking about ?

or which key i would use to get back in there ?

while i am at it blabbing about maps and such

the story cut scenes just use different vision ? or is there a better way ?

@Scratcher

Cool. One day, when the generations of the very distant future discover some ancient ruin of our civilization (which accidentally contain imgur's database), they'll look upon your picture, and think that it is a long lost explanation about the nature of the universe.

2nd generation. No easy way to be free.
I'm not certain that I understand what you are looking for in regards to "HARD BOXES" since you don't ask any specific questions; but let me see if I can offer some help.

warp hardbox: There is a great section in "Appendix B: warp-eg.c" of the DinkC.txt v3.1 file. This information also (in part) made it to the "Techniques/Warps" section in the DinkC Reference v4.0x windows help file (bundled with the Dink.exe install). The section in the DinkC.txt file is a little more thorough.

tiles hardbox: Some tiles "come with" hardness built in. You can use this (for example) to make certain that Dink does not just step over a river bank and walk across water (unless, of course, you want to make a few changes so that can magically happen).
