The DN is Infected with Ads
Several words are transformed into mouse-over ads and adblock is not blocking them.
If this was an intentional addition, I advise to remove it. Likewise, if it is not, I advise to remove it.

Right, I found the culprit. SaveMass and two other Chrome extensions installed themselves without my knowledge. This isn't the first time it's happened, but if anyone else is getting these, check your extensions. PricceCh0pe as well. It seems these are adware that are bundled within your typical installer. So, thank any company like Cnet that gives you crap you don't want against your will. Gotta love those idiots.
Still, it would be nice to now implement a way to have the DN pre-block these ads. Ads are intrusive, but these are more numerous.

Where did you get your installer? There are companies out there that offer downloads for some popular (usually open source) software but bundle in some adware. They then pay google some money to get traffic through the search results and get money from the adware. My father had this when installing firefox, apparently the first link in google (an advertisement link) went to a company that offered a firefox+adware package. When downloading free programs always make sure you get it from the official source, there are people out there trying to profit from the hard work of others.
I don't know what installer it was, but I never download from Cnet anymore because what they do now is utter bullshit. Even official installers have garbage packed into them and you even can't avoid installing it sometimes.
Still, it's quite easy to weed out the trash they install and get rid of it.

Why even use sites like Cnet when there are official sites having official downloads? It's clear that those sites need to make money somehow, and that is not always a good thing for whoever uses those sites...
But I just said I don't use Cnet anymore. I used to when they didn't distribute shit in their installers. Now they have their own downloader that is broken, and gives you funny little bonuses like emoticon toolbars, or bits of glass.
