RIP Robin Williams. (1951 - 2014)
Yep, heard about this just earlier. Duck that shit. You could tell that dude had a lot of fun in his movies. Hook, Flubber. Really didn't seem to matter if it was good or bad or middle ground.
And let's not forget how he named his daughter after Princess Zelda. Always inspirational to see someone of old age have fun like that - stupid movies, games.

You really wouldn't expect him to be..
it's
I don't believe it.

Note: I talked about this in the Serious Talk section of a forum, and now i'm banned and my thread deleted because apparently the mod ran out of sanitary napkins
I hated him in all his movies, he always came off as such a smug sonuvabitch. With that said, I feel a bit melancholic about his death. He was a big name for a long time; a part of the world I grew up in is gone forever.
I don't think I've seen anyone play characters quite like Robin Williams.
Wow, I can hardly believe it.
Robin Williams was a ducking funny man. Some of the movies he was in were crap, for sure, but I laughed until I couldn't breathe watching his stand-up.

I don't feel anything about his death, but Jumanji was a good movie. Apparently he killed himself. What a waste.
I, however, am not torn up about it. I may be a fairly big fan of his work, however I've had enough tragedy within my life to where I'm simply desensitized to death. (That not mentioning that energy cannot be fully destroyed, and thus rejoins the universe and such...)
What the duck was that universe nature bullshit you just said in what should be a serious thread?
I first heard about this from Francis(Boogie2988)
I heard about this from a computer security email, of all things, warning that scammers would take advantage of the news. It was kind of a shock, and it reminded me of the other drug-related celebrity deaths I'd heard about. Stuff like that shouldn't happen.

Yeah, that's kind of how I felt.

He could have made a great hilarious old man in time to come.
@Skurn: An explanation as to why I'm not as torn up about it as other people. (Also, that's pretty much what a physicist would state, though with more sciency stuff and a longer explanation. To keep it simple, atoms are energy, and energy cannot be destroyed.)
I didn't think you'd be one of those guys who thinks about science.
Science is the study of the natural world. Without even a basic understanding of science, your perspective becomes limited. We exist in a vast space, so vast that we can barely percieve it. Within it are countless galaxies, each hosting countless solar systems, which in turn hosts various planets. We are as dust in the grand galactic scale, and every day, something could kill us. Each and every one of our atoms was created in the center of many suns, and when they went supernova, those atoms traveled the universe and came together to form every single person. It makes one feel so small when everything comes into perspective, yet it feels nice to be part of something so large and tangible.
Even with death, that which makes up our bodies is broken down and remade into new things, the energy that remains is taken in through decomposers and moved into the soil to be eaten. It's simply amazing, really.

A dead scientist. I'd say Skorn's comment was surprisingly apt in this case; Carl Sagan had a tendency of going into similar kinds of reveries, about twice in every episode of his Cosmos series. (On a sidenote, it's an excellent series. Leagues above the new Neil DeGrasse Tyson Cosmos)
