A dead scientist. I'd say Skorn's comment was surprisingly apt in this case; Carl Sagan had a tendency of going into similar kinds of reveries, about twice in every episode of his Cosmos series. (On a sidenote, it's an excellent series. Leagues above the new Neil DeGrasse Tyson Cosmos)
