Matt Chat 223: Seth Robinson on Dink Smallwood (Closed)
An interesting (and rather long) interview featuring Seth talking about his various productions including Dink Smallwood. Seth explains various facets of the game itself as well as the origins of a few design choices regarding art etc.
Wow, I'll watch this later.
There are also two other interviews in the series with Seth where he explains that his fundie Christian home-schooling was what caused his initial interest in making text games. It provides an interesting insight into BBS culture as well.

Geez that would have been terrible.
I actually feel a little bit sorry for him having to put up with all that religious crap.

And yet it.probably caused out favorite game here,if only it did something to you too.
We should blackmail *ahem* email Seth into making that second RPG.
I think it ended up as the "Inn Demo" in Novashell.
Tbh, I always did want to see another RPG from Seth, and how it would turn out to be. Back in the day, I remember I was searching furiously if Seth had made any other games like Dink. Only he could make another game with Dink's unique appeal.
OK, I watched it. Man, Seth is the most laid-back guy ever.
After watching that, I am forever going to refer to the unique writing style found in Dink as "Seth's special sauce."

We can get a priest to convince him to make another, or we can say we won't buy his game (jk)
Considering this thread I don't think you'd buy his game anyway.
I might, the main problem I have is it being free on one thing and having a price when its an app.
That's a false equivalence you've got there. It didn't take zero effort to bring Dink to mobile devices, you know.
The free thing is over sixteen years old. The thing that's three bucks (come on, three bucks) is something Seth and Justin put effort into fairly recently.
Seth is a hell of a guy, he made Dink Smallwood free because, in his words, he "felt like he had made enough money." I don't think it's unreasonable for him to want to make a little money off of bringing it to a new platform now.
I mean, if you don't want to buy it, that's okay, but calling for it to be free is silly.

I think he was referring to the fact that Dink HD is free on PC.
It's still silly
It's still silly
Oh yes, you're right, my mistake.
Fine, fine and I can't believe I'm saying this, but can we go back to the original discussion

No. It's not possible.
No. It's not possible.
Because it says closed and we're still talking
Yeah, because the OP is sooooo funny.
I can think of funnier things
You're very funny too!
And you're a furry bunny too.
See that? ^ That's true funny.
