If you've ever wanted to get more involved in the Dink community, this is your chance. Dink Chat, now hosted on irc.aXpi.net, is looking for not one, but two new staffers to host chats! We need one to host chats at times convenient for North American dinkers, and one to host chats at times convenient for European dinkers. We will only accept people who will actually be committed and work at this!

What are the requirements to be on staff? First, you have to be willing to give up one or two hours every two or so weeks to host a chat. Second, you need to be able to access the chat (that means you must have mIRC, Trillian, or a java-enabled browser). Also, you *must* have a valid email address (this is for IRC nick registration purposes as well as contact purposes.) Finally, you must actually be serious about being a staff member.

If you're unfamiliar with IRC commands, that's ok. We're willing to "train in" new staff as long as they meet the aforementioned requirements.

So how do you apply? Well, if you're able to host chats at North American times, then email or PM me. If you're able to host chats at European times, email or PM Phoenix. Fill out this short questionnaire. We'll decide who we're hiring by some time next week (provided we get enough applications).
1. What's your dink alias and valid email address?
2. Why do you want to be on Dink Chat staff?

That's it. Benefits of being on staff are basically that you get to host chats and *possibly* become junior staff on the DN... that, however, is redink1's decision and not mine or Phoenix's.

Here is a idea, but you don't have to listen.

I say if you need OP's, give someone like dukie, PureEvil, ect that is on staff and hasn't had a oppertunity to do much the position. This place is just not a website, it's the whole friggen community and the people on staff are in the leadership roles of the community. If they have nothing to do, anything that opens up should be given to them...just my idea. Besides, redink was kind enough to give chat staff a place here, why not give staff a place there? 2 way street...oh well, enough from me.

Staff is more than welcome to apply like everybody else... but we're not going to hire Dukie or PureEvil over somebody else just because they're on staff.

I would apply alli, except I know nothing of the rudiments of a Dmod (see last Discussion) and would only end up agreeing with everyone.
(or yelling at others..)

Last time you hired me, and now I'm fired. You must need people more commited than me.
