Best CURRENT d-mod develper
Who do you think is the best current d-mod devolper?
I said CURRENT which means no sabre or simonk as an answer

Skull, I guess.
There are many interesting D-Mod developers out there right now, such as Sparrowhawk, Metatarasal and maybe even Merder. As for *current best* developers, in no way taking anything away from others, I'd have to say...
1) Pillbug
2) Iplaydink
3) MsDink

MsDink.
As for my topic... Tide...

Tough one. Hard to say who takes home the whole cake - so to say.
Skull might be the most creative developer.
Iplaydink make awesome use of his skills with blender and scripting.
MsDink is also very creative and witty with her creations.
Worth mentioning,Rabidwolf, Metatarasal and Pillbug have all proven to be excellent developers in different ways.
Can't really say who's the best, though.

a small shame i didn't make it in your top 3 but still thanks finding my stuff interesting(i know my work progress i slow but i'm more fond of fooling round with coding and such and trying to figure out how to do certain stuff and well if i get better at it might see more unique style bosses than simple "borrowed" stuff however for now still fooling around with the prtly randomly created d-mod(Still no succes in finding Music for it

What's making it hard to find music? Maybe we can help you find stuff.
ExDeathEvn
*tosses bottle of schnapps schnapper's way*
Why thankyou, but I highly disagree with ya

Oh, Robj's stuff is also amazing. I dare say The Dark Avilan has a chance to become the *absolute best* D-Mod ever.

it's hard to find because most that i find don't get the right feel or are bad quality(and 1 i haven't seen outside of it game yet(Bloogaton factory from Commander keen 6(is in the demogame aswell))

I'd have to say Skull. He really puts time and effort in his developing, and it pays off!
Oh, and to the ones mentioning me, I'm flattered

Was honestly expecting something like
"LETS NOT FORHGAGT! MURPRWO IZ PRETTY GUD ALSO GUYZ!"
...no recognition. Baaahh.

You do rock. My list would have to be something like:
1) Skull
2) MsDink
3) IPlayDink
4) Marpro
And these people because I'm not sure if they're current developers: Sparrowhawk, robj, and Sabretrout.

RobJ is working on three D-Mods, and Sparrowhawk is working on a development file and is thinking about returning to his D-Mod.
For the best current developers, you could be like me and look at this page. Seems like most D-Mods are good these days. Maybe only the people who are willing to put a lot of work into their games are still developing.

Looks like you have too by posting that. <_<
You know what? Everyone's taken the bait. This thread should be closed now, woop de doop.
Don't be so silly. This thread is going just fine and is actually quite an interesting insight into the more popular d-mod authors of today. Would be nice to see the thought processes behind people's choices though.
Yeh Mapro is a great D-Mod author too.
Wait up, remember what Sabre said: It would be nice to see some insight as to why? Hmm?
Come on!
Come on!
Alright, the reasoning behind my list:
1) Skull, because he's active in both the community and D-Mod creation. He's advanced from things like "Adventures with Jani" to a successful epic and some other D-Mods with genuinely interesting storylines and fun gameplay.
2) MsDink, though she has only released one D-Mod, has made a huge impact on the Dink community. I'm not sure this qualifies, but she prods others on their way to making D-Mods. She's like a barrier troop, but fluffy.
3) IPlayDink, because...well, he's IPlayDink. He's released many great D-Mods, has backhanded DinkC into submission, and can make sweet graphics.
4) Marpro, because he has made some really unique and awesome stuff with the tools available to him. His stuff is awesome, and always feels fresh when I play it.
robj, Sparrowhawk, and Sabre because they rock.

'Current' is a rather vague qualification. I mean, I see my name on some people's list even though I haven't released any new DMODs in over 6 years. (admittedly one DMOD got an update a little over 2 years ago, but does that make me a 'current' developer?)
So really this question is perhaps more about who you consider to be a 'current' developer as it is about who you consider the best of those...
And to actually answer the question: I really appreciate some of the DMODs made for the recent contests. In alphabetical particular order I would like to mention some names that have impressed me in recent years:
- IplayDink
- Marpro
- MsDink
- Skull
- Synbi
I'm actually suprised that I am the first to mention Synbi. Even though he hasn't been very active in the community his DMODs are excellent.

As for insight Mapro made my favorite D-Mod it seems like reason enough
I guess a lot of people mentioned you, Meta, along with Sabre and Sparrowhawk cause they felt like you are still current members, and do have at least 1 D-Mod planned. You know, they completely haven't given up hope on you lazy guys. Synbi is an excellent developer, no doubt, but I don't think he quite makes it to the "best list" imho. Especially after he started visiting the site much less often.
