Love! True love!
I used to watch my Dad play it when I was little, and I got hooked on it after I played it a few times. Playing turned into creating an account here, and learning DinkC. Welcome to the community

You know, I don't even remember. I know I was Familiar with RTSoft (or Seth anyway) from way back, I played some of his BBS games and even bought one to play at home. I suppose I must have just seen Dink on his site at some point, played the demo and then got it. Still have the CD .

I can't really remember that well. I had a Dink Smallwood disc, but I don't know if it was the official one or some other which just had Dink on it. I lost it though. The next time I saw the game was on a Mikrobitti CD. I keep remembering it was Mikrobitti 2000, but it had to be 1999. Anyway, I found out about the site, but my life was kinda hectic so I kept forgetting about it and visiting now and then. I forgot Dink for a while, until I finally was able to join the site in late 2005. Then I started posting and reviewing in mid 2006.

And, that's really about it. If you're expecting some epic fairytales, I doubt not many people have those.

Well, I remember my older brother Danny playing and then I played it. I kept hitting Libby(?) because I thought she was a troll or something and that it was fun. Dan uninstalled it because of that.

Rediscovered it years later and found this site at the same time.

And then there was crazy and cupcakes.

"10 years!?"

15, almost

My story's not very interesting: I found Dink in a list of freeware games on some random website, downloaded it and thought it was good. Can't remember how I came here, to look up some question or other probably, but stuck here ever since anyway

I found Dink a long time ago on a CD that came with a magazine called K-computer or something, somewhere around 98-00. Haven't played the game ever since.

Welcome indeed.

My story... Well you can read it here. In short: I saw it at a free games website but didn't bother about it until some friends managed to get a pirated copy of the original CD version. Then I decided to download it and I've been stuck with Dink ever since.

Hmm..
YEah, I too told the story in my dinkerview:

"Ah, the story how I found dink!
I think my father had the demo on a CD which came with some magazine, which I've heard is a quite common way to find it, but as you might have guessed I was a little to young for Dink back then (I think I was like 4) but I think I wacthed my father play it for a couple of minutes.
Then when I was like 8 years old (2003 maybe) my father seached the internet for free games for me (as I was bored) and he found Dink. I played it through, with my father helping me sometimes, and looking at walkthroughs for me. I think we also downloaded some dmods but never got around finishing them.
From there I started playing dink every other year, looking at dmods, playing a little.
When I was like 13 I started playing seriously and played some D-Mods, to the end. Of course I wanted to make one myself but that failed (I think I figured out how to place sprites on the screen but I couldn't get them to do anything.
At the age of 15 I started playing again though and this time I read some tutorials and actually got a D-Mod to work, “The Bomb”.
From there you know the story."
