Old Snes games
Have any of you ever played E.V.O.? It's a really cool game where you can evolve into different creatures and it's also and RPG. Some of those games never get old. I still play Rock n roll racing, on my computer that is.
Yeah, I played E.V.O. It's pretty fun and the music's really good. I've played MANY old SNES games, though and there are many jewels among them, such as Chrono Trigger, FFIV-VI, Tales of Phantasia, Secret of Mana, Seiken Densetsu 3, etc...
Chrono Trigger is ace, as is Secret of Mana. But the Sega Megadrive (or Genesis to you "odd" people) wsa always the king!
No way, everyone knew Snes totally kicked Sega's rear! Ofcourse it's not about systems, it's about the games .. but the Snes had the best games whether it was platform games (Mario!), racing (Mario Kart!), fighting (Killer Instinct!) or Rpg's (countless games) .. All Sega had was that puny blue hedgehog
11 of my fav snes games was amrio alstar...thats like 5 games in one...play for housrs and hours and hours and hours and hours and...ZZZZ...wait what was I saying?? anyway that and the old donkey kong the evil one and the good one
I've never played E.V.O., but I'd have to say that Rock n Roll Racing was a brilliant game. I hope the GBA port is worth picking up, since I unfortunately do not own the original game.
ActRaiser is a neat game I recently purchased that's a blend between side-scrolling action elements and simulation bits. I've also been playing some of Super Metroid, which is certainly a must-have. Super Return of the Jedi, F-Zero, and Zelda: A Link to the Past are all fun games which I'm currently (eternally) borrowing from a friend of mine along with Super Metroid and Rock n Roll Racing.
What else... *peruse through collection* Final Fight has good beat-em-up action, though I hear it's better on other systems. Wario's Woods is an inventive spin as far as Tetris clones go. Super Castlevania IV, Super Ghouls n Ghosts, and Zombies Ate My Neighbors always scared the pee outta me when I was a wee lad, though I'm not sure if it was because of the scary bits or because I was (and still am) such a pathetic gamer.
Then there are my two favorite genres of games on the SNES: good ol' platform games, and games that involve a whole lot of shooting. Any Super Mario or Donkey Kong Country game is an excellent platform game, and Plok is a good one that was often overlooked. And as far as the shooting goes, I'm not picky: Strike Gunner STG, Darius Twin, Phalanx, Super R-Type, etc. Yummy.
Thank you for giving me the excuse to incoherently ramble, and hey - if any of you have a copy of Donkey Kong Country 3 you don't want, I'll buy it.

No way! I'll concede that the Snes was much better in some areas (RPG's being the biggest to speak of) but Sonic kicks mario anytime! The Snes had great games that Sega didn't, but vice versa too! "Rocket Knight Adventures", "Gunstar Heroes" and "X-men 2 : Clone Wars"...woohoo! But maybe the Snes had those...I don't know or care...MegaDrive was better!
Those are all Genesis/MegaDrive exclusives. You lazy bum.. not willing to do your research or anything...
Clone Wars is fun, but not sheer brilliance. Well, from the 30 minutes I played it, anyway. I guess I shouldn't really judge it if I've put so little playtime into it.

Snes games? Oh I played lots of those, here is a list of my favorites.
Chrono Trigger
FF3
Terranigma
Secret of Mana
Zelda
Chrono Trigger

Terranigma
Secret of Mana
Zelda
And this other game I played, Secret of Evermore, I liked more than any of the other square RPGs. Oh, and Aero Fighters was king at our local arcade, so the SNES game is like the holy grail.
Clone Wars isn't that great, though it is good like you say. I just thought it was worth a mention because you can be Nightcrawler and teleport around everywhere which is great!
Gunstar Heroes was a classic though.

is it true that the hardest game to find for snes is battle toads and double dragon? cause i got it sitting in my room locked up securely. btw, offroad rulez, zelda rulez, secret of mana rulez, E.V.O dominates, illusion of gaia is just "the one"
Double Dragon is a class game, but hard? No way!
He means Battletoads VS Double Dragons, which, like all Battletoads games, was incredibly hard
Oh that! Didn't click without the VS bit...oh well. Double Dragon is cool.
Heh, now we're both dumb
Anyway, play BT Vs DD, it's really hard too
Anyway, play BT Vs DD, it's really hard too
eh? I played it and beat it in one day...
I also have an ok emulator site (which for me was really hard to find)here you go:
http://www.I_break_rules.com/
snes IS the dominator of old school consoles(so are MANY of its games)I'd have to say chrono beats most games I've ever played, though genesis had a game I liked, crusaders of centy
Edited By Staff: No linking to warez sites, silly rabbit.

I know very little about warez, so I didn't know if it was or not.
Warez = Any software you should be paying for but getting for free.
What are you talking about safmoor? It is well known that the hardest game to find is Cloud Castle 2.
I dunno, star ocean is pretty hard to find, and its one of my favs, that and tales of phantasia(not what it sounds like)
I wasn't the one that said it was the hardest game to find, Trav666 did. You guys just read it wrong.
"I dunno, star ocean is pretty hard to find, and its one of my favs, that and tales of phantasia(not what it sounds like)"
Trust me, you will find star ocean MUCH easier thatn Cloud Castle 2.

*Chuckle*
You are probably the only one...there was a time where I couldn't stop talking about it...it's one of my d-mods.

Cloud Castle 2:Scarab is the D-mod that Sabre is doing for the trilogy of Cloud Castle.
eh, did you do your d-mod on a snes game? thats what I thought you were talking about.Snes games that is.
Nah, Sabre uses any chance he can get to plug his (un)released d-mods
dang right!
Though really I was more having a joke at myself for never releasing it then advertising it. And "A Knights Tale 2" will be out in a few days as well.
Oh, and let's not forget "Kupo!"
"Spookhouse" should be on Halloween...
Of course, we can't ignore "Heroes of the Sword"...and maybe "Rutgar's Revenge" will surface again. Obviously I shouldn't mention "PlaneWAlker", or even "Nerux".
But perhaps I could advertise "The Plateau".
The saddest thing is, all 8 of those d-mods are sitting on my hard drive right now...

And Toejam and Earl
And Toejam and Earl
Yeah, that game was and still is awesome, I was playing it a couple of weeks ago And Toejam and Earl 3 is coming out!
Gamefaqs says it's been out since october in the USA, but not until july in Europe .. beh, it's on X-box anyway, who wants that?
X-Box is great! And yes, I have become a slave to the corporate machine of microsoft...
He said "emulator site", and why should you pay for emulators? Of course ROMs are the illegally copied games, but the emulators themselves can't be illegal, eh?
You are all wrong... NES is better. At least Super Mario Bros 3.
What SMB games came on SNES only?
What SMB games came on SNES only?
Yeah, there's nothing illegal about emulators, it's all reversed engineering or something, I guess that link shouldn't have been deleted
Came out on Snes: Super Mario World and SMW 2: Yoshi's Island. Also the lame educational game Mario is Missing. And SMB:Allstars if you want to be precise, it had the Lost Levels, which was pretty cool (poisoned mushrooms, wtf?)

You didn't get any of that "poisened mushroom" crap in Sonic. You know where you stand with rings!
