This question is asked everytime, and now I want to know wat our fellow dinkers think. Personalys I say Morrowind was better, it was more mysterius andthere were more factions. And story was better, so what you guys think?

I much prefer Oblivion out of them, but if you're going to buy, wait for Skyrim.

Morriwind was the best oblivion had a bad story. And by bad I mean the story itself was sound enough but the way they carried it out was bad. Just a bunch of go get this bring one of these doo hickeys here now get that but wait can you take this for me *Martin Is unconscious*.

This is indeed a frequent, and at this point, a pretty tired question. It's even been discussed on this board several times.

To me the main draw in these games is exploration, and Morrowind was much better in that regard... TES5 seems to be taking the same less-than-fantastic approach as Oblivion (enter The Rural Norway Hiking Simulator).

Well story definitely is better in morrowind but combat engine is better in Oblivion.(i hated how the combat system in Morrowind often missed especially on my Characters side)

Oh, they were both so good. Overall, I will have to say Morrowind was a more enjoyable experience in spite of it's drab scenery. I find Oblivion to be more replayable though.

Never having played Morrowind, I like Oblivion better. But one thing I don't like about Oblivion is that the leveling up is tricky. Before I started, I read some of the UESPWiki, which said that to keep the enemies from getting much stronger than you as you level up, you should increase endurance first, without over-leveling. I wanted to be primarily a magic user, but I decided to follow their suggestion and put off the magic till later. I can't find it right now, but somehow I concluded that it would be best to level up strength before the magic-related attributes. The way it worked out, I had to carefully balance attacking and defending so I wouldn't get endurance points too quickly. Having to pay that much attention got on my nerves, so I quit. I might go back to it someday. I don't know, was I being too cautious? There are other strategies, such as not increasing the level or setting the difficulty to low.

I prefer spontaneity - I'm progressively maxing every stat.

Yeah raise restoration first in oblivion, then you will be dead while you try to heal. that what UESPwiki meant I think.

I will forever hate Bethesda for taking Werewolves out of TES. I hope Skyrim has werewolves! But yeah, definitely Morrowind because of the storyline, though navigation through the world gets pretty dicey at first.

In the last video I watched about Skyrim (an interview with Craig Lafferty), he mentioned that the game currently had so many dragons it was too difficult, and that they were balancing it.

morrowind is the only correct answer and if you disagree, you're completely wrong.

also fun fact, morrowind has basically taken over the dink discord...17 years later, and it's still going. poor dink.
