New D-Mod: Goblin Wars - Breaking Point
Sure, his name suggests you shouldn't trust him, but you should still download Castman's new D-Mod Goblin Wars - Breaking Point.
I have played it for a few moments and it seems interesting enough. It's a prequel to Dink Smallwood of sorts, taking place 14 years before Dink's adventure. You play with multiple characters and it takes place on a modified version of the original game's map. Pretty cool!

This D-Mod freaking epic. It's one of the very few D-Mods that have kept me interested from beginning till the end, that have been released recently. It began sort of weird, and left sort of a feeling of sloppiness, which reminded me of some of the early D-Mods of the community. However, towards the end, the puzzles got very interesting and creative. And it also had an excellent balance between the puzzles and fighting. And that ending, I must say the ending was one of the more epic scenes in D-Mod history, watching those Goblins march out of the castle, and kill everything. And I can't wait for the next one. Get some of that sloppiness away, make it a Quest instead of Romp, develop the characters a lil' more, and you've got one helluva D-Mod.
Also, I didn't even realize some of the characters were based off my Historical Hero, until I saw the special thanks in the end. Heh, should have guessed with *Nathan* having a *yellow text*.
Although there were some smaller and bigger bugs, people should really check this out.
Heck, that almost ended up being a review.
EDIT: Oops, my bad. Nathan is not based off of HH, is he? I looked accidentally at the "Special thanks" instead of the "Sounds and BGM", which I should have.

Godley, it says in the description 16 years before the main game.
The description in DFArc says 14, and the .dmod page on here says 16. >_>
Sounds cool, I'll probably finish it later this week. You should write a review, Skull!
I'm very curious though, were some of the characters based off of Historical Hero, because it sure seemed so.

Found a bug
When you free that guy from prison (he kills the goblin), when I try to leave the screen, game freezes. Any help?

YAY you finished it! Good job Castman,so glad you completed it.
now to go play it...
now to go play it...
The game freezes every time I go to this map.
How did this game get accepted again?
EDIT: @Skull Thank's for spoiling the ending for me, btw.

Thanks for the spoilers, Skull!
REPENT, SINNERS! TAL HAS RISEN!

Godley, I posted the exact same thing and map. >_>
No, because you said "map" and he said "screen." Totally different.
Some pretty innovative stuff here, coupled with some really amateurish mistakes (like the map having no borders)... An odd combination.
It was unbearably buggy, though. I wouldn't have had the patience to play it even as far as I did, without cheating with the console (mostly to get out of screenlocks, and save the game every third screen). I had to load a previous save several times, and edit a script once, in the screen ABS mentioned (although I'm not sure whether I fixed the bug or it just randomly worked...).
I gave up on the screen with the other knight, the goblin and the switch. Couldn't figure out what to do, perhaps I missed something earlier? Kill a goblin = I failed = stupid.
This dmod desperately needs a patch, as I found it virtually impossible to enjoy the way it is.

You're supposed to move Nate into one of the little houses with red barrels that are bombs to blow everything up. Then you get to control Bowgirl again who is then able to flip the switch from afar to free Charles.
Then he follows you around. It crashes for me afterwards when going back to the previous screen. I can't seem to figure out why.
It's all very confusing.

All these bugs make this D-Mod all icing and no cake
Hey Skorn, I basically posted a review of the game in this thread. It's bound to have some spoilers. It's your own fault really if you are too stupid to not play the game before you read the comments about it. It's like reading YouTube comments before watching the video.
The game didn't crash for me once. I ran into some big, sloppy bugs such as accidentally taking Dan into where the girl was supposed to go and therefor completely skipped one point of the game. The bugs sort of halved the entertainment value and the great base that this D-Mod has. But I like basic, sloppy bugs, they give a classic feeling to D-Mods.

Played it the umpteenth time, and this time it didnt get stuck.
strange.
strange.
Hi all ^^
Thx Skull for your kind words
Hmm, about all those bugs, I'm already working on a patch to solve them, I've played it from start-to-end lots of times and never found anything Sorry.
See ya!
EDIT: Already upload a BugFix version, it fixes Scratcher problems with the guard (that fail thing was stupid), Skull's accidental skip and an attempt on meet point screen where Absolution and others crashed, don't know why it crashed though. It doesn't freezes here, but I guess it will do fine now.
