Yes its way worse than last one cause it was closer to the surface even tho this was 6.3 and last was 7.1.

Lots of people have died cause it was lunch time and they go to the square to sit and have lunch - so many had buildings fall on them and heaps still are trapped and wont get freed for a while. Yes Exd lives in that city, at least hes not in the centre and some of my close my family also live there, theyre ok but scared out of their trees Still having 4.5 - 5.whatever after shocks about every hour.

Wish you and your family all the best ExD!! The power is off for a few days tho so he wont be on for a bit I imagine - its unbelievable destruction - even the cathedral tower is gone wow http://www.tv3.co.nz/ if you wanna see whats happening. We felt it here too - Scary stuff.

Wow, nice to see that people care about us here in NZ (though forgetting about me makes me feel sad...)

I can't believe there are people in other countries that care about this earthquake than me, when I only live about 3 hours from the centre of the quake. I feel kind of guilty about that, but I can't MAKE myself care.

And to anyone asking why I'm posting as a guest, I'm in the interesting predicament of having forgotten my password, erased the internet's password memory (due to having changed computers) and having changed my Email (Again, new computer).

ExDeathEvn, nice to see your OK! We down here got, like, 50-150 extra students coming here from Christchurch, and my mum works in the office, sorting everyone out! She's a bit stressed as you can imagine, but it's cool to be making a positive effect on the problem.

Hope you find a place to stay (assuming I'm reading what I think I am...) and if not, just ask a fellow kiwi. I'm sure there are plenty of us willing to take people in.
