A False Hero *DEV THREAD*
Yeah, I'm gonna make a DMOD to take my mind off of 'things'.
So basically it's about a retard who thinks he is the one who was destined to save the world. So he starts killing off random people who he thinks might pose a threat to him. As you might have guessed, Dink is one of them. So...that's it.
So, I really suck at scripting crap, so this is going to take a sh!tload of time to finish...if ever. What do you think?

Sounds, decent. If well prepared, it could turn out to be pretty good.
Make sure you plan before you start and watch/read tons of scripting tutorials.

I have started. It's probably gonna be impossible to script things. My main problem are variables and getting more than two characters to talk at once.

Get rid of the impossible - its possible - just have to persevere and as DD said - look up heaps of tutes and look through others scripts for hints.

No, no. It *looks* like total mayhem has passed in that first screenshot. Rather good.

The first screenshot is well done, nice detail in it.
The second screenshot is a little bland, maybe just add a few of the rocky tiles on grass, and/or a few sprites to break up the repetitive grass pattern, otherwise, it's looking quite good.

Yeah, I thought the outside maps were kinda boring. But I'm following the style of the Original Dink Smallwood. I like it with less objects and less hardness to worry about.

Looks surprisingly nice. Hope the D-Mod in whole actually is as nice as these screenshots.
Speaking of total mayhem, I should go back to work on Middle Night 3.
EDIT: The second screen(shot) would look better if you actually mixed some tiles. The sprites really aren't needed in that screen anymore, in my opinion, but some different tiles would make it look better.

Alright. I have put lots of effort into my maps if you are interested. Also, I'm getting pretty far. This is gonna be a romp or a quest. I'm not really sure how big it's gonna be, but here's my maps so far:

Doesn't exactly strike me as "pretty far", but it does seem to have a lot going on... detailed maps > large maps.
The single screens are okay too, save for the grass that Robj and Skull already pointed out. I know tiling is a pain in Windinkedit, but using a single tile to cover the entire screen just looks bad.
