Skorn, do you really think we need a useless thread detailing what you aren't going to do and that you want to do something? think about the thread, if it sounds stupid, it probably is.

Hmm... I'm on Skorn's side here, actually. There are many, many useless threads posted on the Dink Network all the time, by many different users. The only reason you guys are getting pissed is because it's Skorn, so give him a break.

I remember a few weeks back, Tal posted a thread:
It's Important, I swear
I need to use the bathroom.

Or something along those lines.

Is that not pointless? Why did no one get angry at Tal for making a useless thread? So why are people getting angry at Skorn?

Skorn has a bad reputation, it will take a while before everyone starts trusting him again, but I agree, some, Ex-Death in particular, seems to be ready to lash out at Skorn for the slightest thing. This could have been an amusing thread but instead it has been turned into yet another thread about Skorn and his n00biness. Give it a rest.

I remember the time when I was not as *wise* as I am now, when I used to be posting random crap on the boards, and flaming people and getting into arguments, and I most admit, I probably egged asshats on a bit as we were both advertising our own sites (He had gmcx.has.it and I had CHD) but I grew up and we should let Skorn gain some maturity as well, though many of us don't ever expect him to. If it is necessary, maybe a word of warning or two would suffice, but everyone jumping at his throat like this isn't the way to help an aspiring dinker. Just sit back and laugh, and write absurd replies like we usually do.

I'm assuming that last comment was sarcastic, so...

I don't want to get in a fight, and I didn't intend to compare Tal's post to Skorn's, that post was just an example I thought up of on the spot. And yes, I do agree when you say Skorn posts junk a lot more, but like everyone has said over and over again, people need to give him a break, I was just reinforcing that.

I apologise if I looked a little ignorant and oblivious when posting that.

I say that randomness is half the fun of TDN, so let it be, DDC, let it be.

Look, let skorn be. The only reason any of us are here is that we are weird enough to be interested in an open-source project (two in my case). The off-topic threads are specifically designed to allow us to vent the weirdness so our brains don't implode when confronted by normal people.

And if you remove the off-topic category, people will just post random crap in other categories anyway.
