No, but I have been playing a lot of DDO, which is also F2P, but without the initial cost.
u pay the price of the disc yes
What, DDO? You can download it for free at the website (though the price of the Download with your' ISP probably equals the cost of the disk in-store)
Perhaps you refering to GW, cane? Is it proper free, or one of those "Buy a $100,000,000,000,000,000 rusty mithril dagger for 3 hours and go premium for $1000 a month to get the uber, over-powered stuff completely free." ones?

If we were to actually pay for the disk, we'd fork over a couple pennies (thats the smallest denomination of coinage in the 'States for anyone who didn't know what I meant) and go have a ball. As it is, the cost isn't the disk, but the extra money that the corporate arse-rags who think their fifth home in Polynesia needs another renovation, and want to use the bonus they're planning to give themselves to do so, suck out of us like vampires through the use of over-pricing.
I'm not going to rage against the machine right now, or against any non-living object for that matter, but I am going to complain that stores don't hold enough discount sales on video/computer games, computers, game consoles, electronics in general, panties, bras, boots, hand-soap, and perfume. Stores should also offer more selection in the categories of hair-care and "adult entertainment needs"

I was referring to things like contraceptives and pregnancy prevention; not dildos, vibrators, handcuffs and lube.
(I have enough of all of the latter group to keep me satisfied for a long time)

Wait, are you saying Runescape's good or bad?
Boy do I hope it's not the former...

IplayGuildWars... lol.
Well I do... Add Linus The Healer
EDIT: I guess it's up to me to explain what Guild Wars is and how free it is.
If you buy a Guild Wars CD you get a code that's needed to create an account along with the CD and manual. The account 'code' really is what you pay for, because you can download the game from the guild wars website.
What make Guild Wars different from other mmorpgs is that it has a very low level cap (20) so the game isn't about leveling. Which is a quite nice change. The game is very balanced with very fun pvp-battles. That's becouse you can change your skills when you are in a town, but only bring 8 when fighting, that's where the tactics comes in, you always have to bring skills that suit the situation. There are no such things as over-powered weapons that only the nerds can get, Anyone can afford weapons with good stats but they prices are mostly based on the look of the weapons. Weapons with the same stats can cost between 1000 - 100 000.
Best of all no monthly fees, and there are no option to pay just get better than other people. So, go get it, I'm waiting for you!

I'm saying its for the win lol
Don't play much else in the way of MMO's. Any other games I play aren't online capable.

O.O Wow... too bad I have a curse when it comes to MMORPGs and somehow cause the game files to become corrupted or simply find that the game just won't run anymore for unspecified reasons that I can never get the program to specify. So, sorry, but no Arget on Guild Wars.
(PS. You sound a bit like an advert for the game. You may want to tone down the "please join me" part.)

1.) I hate hordes of game-crashing haxors. Noobs don't really bother me... just the beggers, who I try to help in games like runescape in order to damage the rediculous economy.
2.) I HATE farming millions of identical monsters for levels
3.) I HATE quests that are like "I lost my plastic (Edited for our younguns) toy of shaking, and even though I could buy in the local shop and I need you to kill 10000000 rabbits to get it back"
4.) I HATE when the rest of the quests are variations of the first.
5.) I HATE levels for the sake of levels. I'd much rather be able to learn a sneak ability, run in with a dagger and one-stab-kill them, but no! That's overpowered! As if fighting isn't about power.
6.) I HATE noobs who are like "zOMG, nub, u killdz me, u poo". It's a ferking war, expect to die, by golly!
7.) I hate those troops of poverty-stricken Koreans, Viets and Chinese who earn a dollar a day slaving over some punk-asses character because some punk-ass is to lazy to actually do any work.
8.) I hate premium items. Since when did a capitalistic cooperation tell heroes "Because you don't pay Nexon $10000000000 per month, you can't have the green sword of throat-slitting +24"?
9.) I HATE expiring items. One moment I'm cleaving the heads of rats for the betterment of society, the next - FOOM! No more sword; of course, the fighters guild needs it back because you didn't renew your' loan because you couldn't make enough in-game gold to afford; you'd have to have an Asian leveller to do that.
10.) I HATE that MMORPGs (and most other games now-a-days) are all about companys making money, not about making good storylines etc. Whatever happened to the story-telling skills of Game Devs? Where are the Richard Garriots and Seth Robinsons of today?

@schnapps
For most of those reasons, MapleStory, and most similar MMORPG's suck ass. If you want any type of half-way decent MMO with quests that are actually different, and new abilities every once in a while, go to RuneScape.
Can't go wrong with good single player games either.

i like the way that GW is about tactics and skillz
nothing about lvling and gear
its the skills of the player that determines the outcome
and i meant u pay the GW game and after that its free to play forever rawr
and i added u linus O.o

Apparently, Dinkers seem to be the last one of those species... and over half of us suck. It's not going good. *sigh*

Hm, anyone else that is experiencing an eerie feeling of anger and randomness over the DN lately? And many posts are like this:
1) I like pie.
2) Woah, not blueberry pie, yuck.

HEY I LIKE PIE! Whats wrong with blueberry pie?
Actually I like blueberry pies too, it was just a (bad) example.
