The following links are provided by the Dink Network staff, and while not relevant enough to be a sticky, are interesting enough to check out.

I agree with all others but the "Bugs introduced..."

I seem to have missed the point where consensus was reached that this is a good idea.

Hey, nothing is final. Everything done can just as easily be undone. Just tell us what you think!

How about we vote for which way to have it... maybe have that as the poll just for a week or something

I object
I think everyone who wants to say anything about this can say so here. Making a good poll for this is a bit tricky as we also have quite a bit of traffic that doesn't visit the forum, how are we going to interpret their votes?

Personally I vote in favor of this thread.

EDIT: A one line description of the threads might be a good idea, looks a bit haphazardly as it is now.

LOOK UPON MY DEFORMED FACE!
I would have called this topic, "Important Info for Dmod Developers and Dink Enthusiasts"

These posts were stuck for a reason. Nobody will read "Interesting Links", and it will be glossed right over. Just my two cents.

Jumping the gun to create it was still kind of an assholish thing to do, not everyone who may have leaned against it before are going to bother voicing their opinion now since it already exists. If it's obviously a splendid idea and I'm the only one passionately objected to it for whatever innate skew, though, that's a different story.

I think this thread is a disgrace. This is stuff that had to make way for more important stickies - no one will (nor should) post in these threads again and few people will read them at all. They're not particularly interesting, they were stickies because they used to be relevant and updated. When we unsticky threads we should unsticky them, we don't need a ghost cemetery in which to cherish their memory and pity their loss.

About the threads getting canned, I agree with all except the one on IRC. Most importantly, that thread holds the address of the chatroom. It tells the place is in fact an IRC chatroom and WTF that means, and explains how to get there with an IRC client. The message could be improved (eg. a bit more info on what IRC is, what's the point of using an IRC client instead of the java applet, updating it to post-chat tab form) but that's a matter of improving the thread, I think the topic itself is still important.

Right, bring back the stickies, and close this thread.

To anyone here with board-modding powers: do whatever you want with those stickies, I don't care.

Uh, yeah, I just de-stickified everything that was here because as Christiaan said it's easy to undo. Anyway, sorry

My opinions (for what it's worth):

Bugs introduced
This is useful to know about certain bugs, which commands do or don't actually work, how to use certain ones, etc.

D-Mod compatibility
Long out of date and pretty much useless.

IRC chatroom
What Scratcher said, plus the chat tab here doesn't work for everyone (eg, me ).

G9 Wishlist
Unlikely to happen anytime soon, if ever, and if it ever does come close to happening we can have a more up to date thread at the time...

Where do dinkers come from
Doesn't work any more and not needed anyway since we have the flags now.

Basically keep bugs and IRC and scrap the rest, but this thread is still a good idea I think if done properly.

Huh??? I may have been a bit harsh in expressing my discontent, but that's just me.

I would like to hear more honest opinions on how everyone feels about this.

Tag - Umm.. tag, you're it?
Votes in favor of this - I usually check here now cause there MAY be sommink new But then its me that hated the stickies (sorry for the trouble I caused to anyone) - but personally I find it way easier to see new topics and for me a NOOB that stuff was not much interest anyways. *shrugs*

I would look at interesting threads if I was interested oh wait - I am looking now!!

Its so hard to find all the info on dmod makin as its everywhere (that's why I am here after all) and reading so many threads can sometimes be really conflicting and the answer you need just isnt the one you can find anywhere, so I am hoping you may add links to other discussions umm... for eg; graphics here here and here, sprites here here and here and so on... or is that too noobish for yaa'all. Would save us bugging you fellas cause we gave up looking for the answer that may have been put there 50 times but our eyes were so darned glazed over from all the other stuff we missed it.

I suggest adding the Dink Wiki to this list, and maybe also to the 'partners' sidebar if it picks up a bit more.
