Aren't blogs supposed to have more than one.. chapter? The blog system on this site seems like it's basically a kind of limited forum where you can't reply. What's the point?

Hrm... what do you suggest? A different layout of some sort? I really don't understand this blog thing either.

Destroying noobs since 1999.
well, if we look at sites such as freeopendiary.com which uses a web log, they use the ideal interface. I do think we should add comment support for the blogs. Blogs are somethign which you can write anything you wish about anything you wish. Updates for d-mods, your girl dumping you for another woman, your hate for redink, anything. The category's were put in so people could see what you are writting about. If you are putting in updates on your d-mod, you would put it in the development section of your blog.

Get it yet?

So it'd be just like the board.

No, I like the Blogs, but I think it needs a little improvement. First of all, you should be able to post in the blogs as if you were posting news in that particular blog, including a date. That way, its easy to see which ones have been updated. Comment support is nice too, as long as it doesn't get too cluttered. If you'd do it on the board, it would quickly be forgotten.

See my idea of a blog (and I'm sure this is not a strict definition by any means) is an ongoing diary about some topic or just your life in general. No just a single message. freeopendiary.com sort of offers that by listing all that user's other entrys on the side when you view one. Maybe it's just a matter of how it's organized. I see it does list blogs the user profile pages now, so I guess that's one way to view them together.
