I think it's in the cave to the far north. Look at the walls, it kinda blends in.

A more exact position is the top right hand corner of the slayer caves. There are 2 slayers in the room, with the roots on the back wall to the right.

After that (if you have all the Portal Keys, and a magic level of 1) you can go to the fairy ring, and get to Cloud Castle.

I assume the have found the cave...it's not hidden or anything.

me never said the cave wasn't found. Just couldn't find the ROOT! Duh.

Yeah, lots of people had trrouble finding the root. It's not *THAT* obvious.

Help please.
I got to the castle, but I am stuck in that first area. I killed the guards, talked to the prisoner, got the sword, read all the books. I examined the statue, tried to put the crystal, and the wine into the hole. Nothing works, so I went up the stairs to the room with the columns, but Dink will not stay in those rooms.
What should I do now?

Hmm, I'm not sure exactly.
Have you been to the top left, just west of the prisoners? Here you should be attacked by knights, and get a stone from the lead knight. I'm not sure if you need to read the pucks, but try using this stone on the dragon statue.
The dragon will come to life, and will allow you to continue youur quest. If that doens't help, e-mail me.
