Limitations of True Color Mode?

2nd generation. No easy way to be free. 
Do animated tiles (such as those that feature bodies of water and/or roaring fires) not work in True Color Mode? I cannot get them to work (though sprite animations seem to be ok).

Or am I just doing something wrong in the way I am using the animated tiles?

You need to use the first set of water/fire tiles for them to animate. I don't think it's possible for true colour mode to mess with that, such a big problem would've been noticed a long time ago.

Ah, yes. That works much better. I had copied these wonderful waterfall tiles (from Anathavia) into my TILES directory...

I believe that Dink "HD" initially didn't animate tiles, however the feature was introduced into later builds.
